10 Decadent Details of the Black Lives Matter Mansion That Will Make You Want To Quit Your Job and Start Making TikToks About White Fragility

The controversial activist group is facing criticism for its lavish spending

A Black Lives Matter charitable organization is in hot water following reports that it used donor funds to secretly purchase a $6 million mansion in Los Angeles. The group has claimed the massive house, known as "Campus," is "part of the cultural arm of the [organization]—potentially as an ‘influencer house,' where abolition+ based content is produced by artists & creatives." Meanwhile, local activist groups have complained that the charity, the BLM Global Network Foundation, has ignored their pleas for support. Others have accused the group of exploiting racially charged tragedies to raise money.

The Washington Free Beacon has reviewed photographs and realtor descriptions of the luxurious property in the posh Studio City neighborhood. Here are 10 of the most decadent details of the Black Lives Matter mansion that will make you want to quit your job and start making dope-ass TikToks about white fragility and defunding the police.

1) Lots of parking!

Can fit up to 24 Ferraris.

2) Lots of security! (In case they succeed in abolishing the police)

Walls work. So do pointy spears and home security systems.

3) Lots of history!

Humphrey Bogart and Marilyn Monroe were among the Hollywood celebs who stayed as guests at the luxurious estate, built in 1936.

4) This grand piano!

5) This amazing swing set with twirly tube slide!

6) All this closet space! (And butler's pantry!)

7) This epic content cave! (An influencer's dream!)

8) This automatic paper towel dispenser! (Fancy!)

9) All these fireplaces! (For incinerating problematic financial statements)

And heat lamps for the frigid Los Angeles winters. One of the fireplaces was imported all the way from Italy, while another features a "handmade arto cement tile hearth." Nice!

10) This adorable indoctrination desk! (Awww!)

Bonus: This American flag!

(Note: The photo was taken prior to BLM purchase.)

BLM reportedly scrambles to ‘kill’ story covering $6M California home purchased with donations

Get the latest BPR news delivered free to your inbox daily.

Black Lives Matter reportedly tried to squelch a story from New York Magazine exposing how the group “secretly bought” a $6 million home in Southern California using donations one year ago on the anniversary of George Floyd’s death.

The report was published by the “Intelligencer” via the magazine on Monday. It exposes a YouTube video that purportedly shows three leaders of the social justice movement, Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Melina Abdullah, all standing in front of the home in June celebrating the purchase. The video has since been made private and can no longer be viewed.

BLM reportedly tried to “kill” the story concerning the purchase of the home and hide it from journalists.

BLM officials also circulated an internal memo floating a number of responses to the media outlet’s questions concerning the purchase that ranged from “Can we kill the story?” to, “Our angle – needs to be to deflate ownership of the property,” the magazine reported.

They referred to it internally as the “complex” and an internal memo allegedly proposed that it could be used as an “influencer house” where artists would get together and collaborate.

The home is 6,500-square-feet with more than six bedrooms and bathrooms, fireplaces, a pool, and parking for more than 20 cars according to a real estate listing. It was bought in October of 2020 using funds that had been donated to the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, according to the “Intelligencer.”

A man named Dyane Pascall bought the home two weeks after the foundation received $66.5 million from its sponsor. He is the financial manager for Janaya and Patrisse Consulting. Then the ownership of the home was transferred to an LLC in Delaware shielding the owner’s identity.

Cullors purchased four expensive homes for $3.2 million. She was one of the founders of Black Lives Matter but since the revelations of her shady finances have surfaced, she has left the group, citing a desire to finish her second book and focus on a multi-year TV deal with Warner Bros. Garza and Abdullah have also left the organization.

“It’s because we’re powerful, because we are winning,” Cullors said at the time referring to the media uncovering the lavish spending, according to the New York Post. “It’s because we are threatening the establishment, we’re threatening white supremacy.”

The Southern California mansion was meant to serve as “housing and studio space” for recipients of the Black Joy Creators Fellowship, board member Shalomyah Bowers said in a statement Friday that was given to New York Magazine. She claimed that the foundation had “always planned” to disclose the home’s legal filings this May. She also contended that it does not serve as anyone’s personal residence.

“That’s a very legitimate critique,” said “Candid” cofounder Jacob Harold in an interview with the media outlet addressing criticism of the purchase. “It’s not a critique that says what you’re doing is illegal or even unethical; it might just be strategic.”

“Candid” tracks nonprofits in the U.S. Harold questioned whether the funds spent on the home could’ve been used more wisely.

“Why aren’t you spending it on policy or, you know, other strategies that an organization might take to address the core issues around Black Lives Matter?” he asked.

Bowers claims that the property was bought in “furtherance of BLM’s mission,” according to the New York Post.

“It’s a waste of resources,” Ferguson activist Tory Russell told New York Magazine.

That sentiment seems to be shared by many in the movement.

The foundation is still under investigation for misuse of funds.

Black Lives Meltdown

Black Lives Matter Global Network, once the crown jewel of the Democrat Left, has become a major embarrassment that should cost the Democrats a lot of House and Senate seats this November—but only if the Republican Party does not squander the opportunity the way it squandered it in 2020. That was when it came out that BLM was campaigning openly against Donald Trump while accepting 501(c)(3) tax exempt money via ActBlue Charities, and with Thousand Currents and then the Tides Foundation as its fiscal sponsor. 501(c)(3) resources cannot be used to influence an election.

The RNC could have used this issue to evoke public revulsion against this abuse of voters' and donors' trust and support, and specifically the perception of voters and donors that they were supporting civil rights as opposed to a political campaign funded with charitable contributions. The RNC's failure to do this is why Joe Biden is now able to advance his dysfunctional domestic agenda which includes:

(1) carbon taxes and derailment of fossil fuel while gasoline, electricity, and home heating costs are skyrocketing,

(2) hidden taxes on middle class investors through a higher corporate income tax, and

(3) attacks on the Second Amendment.

If you have mutual funds or an IRA, a higher corporate income tax is a tax on you even if you make less than $400,000 a year.  We have met "the corporations" and they are us.

The RNC has meanwhile failed so far to highlight Kamala Harris’s misuse of churches in Virginia to campaign for Terry McAuliffe, just as it did not call out BLM for using 501(c)(3) resources to campaign against Trump. This is why, in the absence of changes, I am not going to donate any money to the RNC because I don't believe in reinforcing failure. I will on the other hand provide this information via American Thinker and social media to help Rs win the House and Senate in 2022.

BLM is No Longer an Asset; it's an Albatross Around the Donkey's Neck

  1. Part V, Line 46 of BLM's Form 990 for 2019-2020 asks whether the organization attempted to influence any election, and BLM checked off "No." This looks inconsistent with the organization's own Web site which, among other things, equated Trump to a Nazi with a neck tattoo and talked explicitly on another page about voting his administration out of office. While this Form 990 shows no income or expenditures, tens of millions of dollars did go to fiscal sponsor Thousand Currents (see page 99 of Form 990, Schedule O, for reference to BLM), which then apparently transferred the assets to the Tides Foundation.

  • Patrisse Cullors also campaigned against Trump (go to the last 10 seconds, “We get Trump out of office by leading with bold and courageous action.”). The group even took credit for influencing the 2020 election. "Alongside Black-led organizations around the nation, Black Lives Matter invested heavily in this election."
  • "BLM’s #WhatMatters2020 is a campaign aimed to maximize the impact of the BLM movement by galvanizing BLM supporters and allies to the polls in the 2020 U.S Presidential Election to build collective power and ensure candidates are held accountable for the issues that systematically and disproportionately impact Black and under-served communities across the nation." While 501(c)(3) organizations are allowed to promote voter turnout, they must do so without any bias toward either candidate.
  1. California issued BLM a delinquency notice regarding its tax filings and, while BLM still has a grace period in which to correct this, we have to wonder why this happened in the first place. We can speculate that trouble began when BLM's election-related activity came to light in 2020, but this is pure inference from the circumstances at hand.
  2. An anti-Semitic hate group is defined not as one that merely disagrees with the policies of Israel, but rather one that denies the right of Israel to exist. Patrisse Cullors, in her capacity as a BLM founder rather than speaking as an individual, said to “step up boldly and courageously to end the imperialist project that’s called Israel.” BLM has meanwhile welcomed chants such as "Israel, we know you, you murder children too" at its rallies.
  3. BLM has condoned and even encouraged the criminal violence that results in the justifiable homicides about which it complains. This includes not just justifiable shootings of Black people but also of three Caucasians in Kenosha Wisconsin.
    • BLM called it "murder" when a police officer shot Hakim Littleton for pointing a gun at the head of the officer’s partner and firing at least one round. Littleton was, luckily for the cop, a bad shot or it would have been "end of watch" for that officer or, according to some BLM graffiti artists, a "pig" who "oinked his last." The incident is on bodycam video. If you want Black lives to matter, don't tell them it is OK to point guns at other people except in self-defense.
    • BLM also implies it was OK for three Caucasian men to pursue and attack Kyle Rittenhouse who was, as determined by a court of law, within his rights to shoot his attackers with an AR-15. This is yet again the same mentality that gets people shot, and justifiably so, by police and armed citizens.
    • BLM also implies it was OK for Ricardo Munoz, who was armed with a knife (or "unarmed with a knife" according to Joe Biden), to rush a police officer. It is obvious from the bodycam video that the cop tried to deescalate by retreating and fired only after he could no longer retreat in complete safety.
    • BLM also thinks it was murder when a cop shot Ma’Khia Bryant, who had raised a knife above another Black person. The latter's Black life apparently did not matter very much to BLM, although it did to the cop who saved her. Here are the actual facts of the case including bodycam video.
    • A (Caucasian) BLM activist meanwhile posted instructions on how to use an emergency vehicle escape tool to force entry into a car, cut the driver's seat belt, and "remove" the driver from his or her vehicle. YouTube apparently took this down for violating its terms of service, but I remember it very clearly. This is an outstanding way to get shot legally, run over legally, and/or sent to prison for a long time. Florida apparently treats a violent vehicle invasion as a violent home invasion which is punishable by life in prison.

BLM is therefore reminiscent of the very rare firefighter who commits arson so he can help put out the fires or, in this case, merely complain about them. We have no fewer than five blatant incidents shown above, plus general incitement to riot and commit arson, in which BLM promotes the very situations in which Black people and, in the case of the Rittenhouse assailants, Caucasians, are shot justifiably. This makes BLM part of the problem rather than the solution, and this needs to be made clear in the 2022 election season. If the RNC will not do this, or follow up on the Kamala Harris scandal, we need to do it ourselves.

Nineteen people were shot, one of them fatally, during the weekend in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago.

ABC 7 / Chicago Sun-Times reports the weekend’s fatal shooting was an officer-involved incident that occurred after the suspect allegedly opened fire on police.
The suspect allegedly had hostages Sunday afternoon and was fatally shot by officers after attempts to negotiate with him failed.

The two apparent hostages, a 48-year-old woman and a 78-year-old man were allegedly shot and wounded by the suspect prior to police arriving on scene.

Breitbart News reported that 17 people were shot, three of them fatally, during the weekend of March 25-27, 2022, in Lightfoot’s Chicago.

Twenty-two were shot, four fatally, during the weekend of March 18-20, 2022.

WTTW notes Chicago witnessed 178 shootings in March 2022 and a total of 37 homicides.

Lightfoot’s Chicago recorded 128 homicides January 1, 2022, through the end of March 2022.

Ketanji Brown Jackson Wanted to Empty Jails at Start of Pandemic

Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson said in the early days of the pandemic it would be "reasonable" to release "each and every" person in District of Columbia jails, and she went on to grant COVID-related releases to defendants and inmates implicated in serious crimes.

In the early days of the pandemic, Judge Jackson made a passionate appeal on behalf of inmates in Washington, D.C., jails and said pandemic conditions could justify releasing them.

"The obvious increased risk of harm that the COVID-19 pandemic poses to individuals who have been detained in the District’s correctional facilities reasonably suggests that each and every criminal defendant who is currently in D.C. DOC custody—and who thus cannot take independent measures to control their own hygiene and distance themselves from others—should be released," she wrote. She went on to urge Congress to take action to help.

In one instance, Jackson granted pretrial release to a defendant allegedly involved in a deadly fentanyl-trafficking ring, requiring only that he comply with a 10 p.m. curfew. In another case, she released an inmate with multiple bank robbery convictions. Prosecutors opposed both moves.

COVID outbreaks were common in prisons across the country and prompted authorities to reduce jail populations to slow transmission. As of this writing, 292 inmates have died of COVID out of 135,000 in the federal system—less than one quarter of one percent—according to the Bureau of Prisons. Some researchers suggest this move contributed to the late spike in violent crime.

Republican opposition to Jackson during her confirmation hearing was pinned to her lenient sentencing, particularly to individuals convicted on charges related to child pornography. In many cases, she imposed sentences far below sentencing guidelines and the recommendations of prosecutors. Her call to release dangerous criminals back onto the streets due to the pandemic could further those concerns.

Jackson made the remark on COVID releases in the course of denying a request for release from a defendant named Sean Ray Wiggins, a high-level heroin dealer. But her pro-inmate appeal was the opening passage of the decision, apparently serving as the frame for all that followed. And she urged Congress to take steps to facilitate release of inmates.

"It is crystal clear that the dangers of the moment call for more systematic action than a judge can grant in any one case," she wrote.

Jackson sprung several inmates from jail due to COVID despite serious underlying offenses.

One such defendant was Devon Dabney, who was arrested for distribution of fentanyl in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 28, 2020. Dabney was allegedly part of a drug ring based in an area of Washington, D.C., that authorities were surveilling and pursuing. At least one fentanyl overdose was connected to the ring.

Fentanyl is an extremely dangerous opioid that is often fatal above the very smallest doses. There were 56,516 overdose deaths reported in the United States in 2020, primarily the result of fentanyl, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse.

Dabney asked Jackson to release him on March 27, 2020, because of the pandemic. Dabney provided medical records showing he had asthma. The jail infirmary issued him an inhaler for the condition, but they had trouble keeping it full.

Jackson granted Dabney’s request in an April 13 ruling and released him to home detention, citing his condition as well as the fact that Dabney had been a secondary target in the investigation. An associate was the primary target.

Despite his stated fear of contracting COVID, Dabney then asked Jackson to relax the conditions of his house arrest and replace it with a nightly curfew of 10 p.m. Jackson granted that request on Aug, 4, 2020.

Prosecutors believed Dabney was a flight risk and emphasized he had a pending firearms charge at the time of his arrest for fentanyl distribution.

The weight of evidence against Dabney was overwhelming. Two undercover police officers were prepared to testify that he sold almost $500 worth of fentanyl to them, with audio and video of the transaction captured by hidden camera. Given the evidence, and the fact he was facing upwards of a decade in prison, prosecutors believed Dabney was at higher risk of becoming a fugitive.

At the time of his arrest—which took place during a traffic stop shortly after the alleged sale to undercover officers—Dabney was on release from a Washington, D.C., case in which he was charged with carrying a pistol without a license and possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device. And when he was arrested on the fentanyl charge, police found a handgun at his feet. He was also carrying two cell phones and $700 in cash.

"The defendant has now been arrested twice for serious charges—weapons and narcotics related—both within a fairly short time period and one while he was under pretrial supervision by another court," prosecutors wrote.

Once Dabney provided medical records to the court, prosecutors didn’t take affirmative steps to keep him in jail. But they opposed his requests—which Jackson granted—to relax the terms of his release, citing his growing rap sheet and the seriousness of the offense. The case is ongoing as of this writing.

In another case, Judge Jackson granted early release to a defendant, D’Angelo Dunlap, who pled guilty to robbing two banks and who had three years yet to serve on his prison sentence when Jackson sent him home.

Dunlap robbed two Washington-area banks, one in 2015 and another in 2017, to fund his addiction to heroin. He pled guilty to both crimes and Jackson sentenced him to just under five years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. He was incarcerated at a medium-security federal prison in Pennsylvania.

Almost two years into his sentence, Dunlap requested "compassionate release," claiming he was at heightened risk of a serious COVID infection due to obesity and comorbidities like heart disease.

Prosecutors strongly opposed his request, and suggested his request was based on misrepresentations. In court papers, they said Dunlap’s height was "mistakenly listed" as 5’5 on some forms, when his actual height is 5’9 according to intake photos and other records. Correctly accounting for his height indicates he was not obese. Similarly, prosecutors said his medical records showed his cardiac health was sound overall.

Authorities also warned he was a danger to the community, citing a Bureau of Prisons assessment that he was a "medium risk" of recidivism and the need to complete a more extensive drug treatment program.

Jackson granted Dunlap’s request and reduced his sentence to time served, but maintained the three-year supervised release requirement. She justified her decision by noting that Dunlap had repeatedly complained of chest pains while incarcerated, had some damage to a heart valve, and had elevated levels of calcium in his heart, which is sometimes a precursor to a heart attack.

As of August 2020, when Dunlap’s release was under consideration, the Pennsylvania jail housing him reported just one positive COVID case. Jackson acknowledged as much in her ruling, but said close quarters in prisons pose inherent and continuing risks of transmission.

The Senate Judiciary Committee is set to consider Jackson’s nomination on Monday morning. She is expected to receive near unanimous opposition from Republican Senators, but has already won the support from at least one, Sen. Susan Collins (R., Maine), clearing the path towards her confirmation.

6 Dead, Numerous Injured During Shooting in Gun-Controlled California

Six people were killed and numerous others injured during a Sunday morning shooting in gun-controlled California’s city of Sacramento.

CNN reports the deadly incident occurred “in the area of 10th and J Streets.”

Details on the shooting are scant. At 3:52 a.m. Sacramento Police tweeted, “Conditions unknown at this time. Please avoid the area as a large police presence will remain and the scene remains active.”

California is the most stringently gun-controlled state in the Union, and Michael Bloomberg-affiliated Everytown for Gun Safety ranks CA No. 1 for “Gun Law Strength.”

California gun controls include universal background checks, a gun registry, an “assault weapons” ban, a 10-day waiting period on gun purchases, a limit on the number of guns a law-abiding citizen can purchase each month, a “good cause” requirement for concealed carry permit issuance, a red flag law, a ban on campus carry for self-defense, and a ban on K-12 teachers possessing guns for classroom defense.

The AP observes California also “requires background checks for people buying ammunition.”

On March 29, 2022, Breitbart News pointed out robberies with a gun were up 44 percent in gun-controlled Los Angeles.

Joe Biden Responds to Sacramento Shooting by Pushing Existing California Gun Controls

President Joe Biden responded to the Sacramento shooting by pushing gun laws the state of California already has in place.

Breitbart News reported six people were killed and numerous others injured early Sunday morning when gunfire rang out near 10th and J Streets.

Police noted there were multiple gunmen involved in the shooting and the incident was preceded by a fight.

CNN quoted Sacramento Police Chief Kathy Lester saying, “We know that a large fight took place just prior to the shootings. And we have confirmed that there are multiple shooters.”

Moreover, KCRA points out that police recovered a stolen gun at the scene of the shooting.

FOX News observed Biden responded by pushing Congress to pass more gun control. The president said:

Ban ghost guns. Require background checks for all gun sales. Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. Repeal gun manufacturers’ immunity from liability. Pass my budget proposal, which would give cities more of the funding they need to fund the police and fund the crime prevention and intervention strategies that can make our cities safer. These are just a few of the steps Congress urgently needs to take to save lives.

California already bans ghost guns.

California has required background checks for all gun sales since the 1990s.

California has banned “assault weapons” since the 1990s.

California bans “high capacity” magazines.

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) is pushing to allow private citizens to sue gun makers.

Additionally, California has a red flag law, gun registration requirements, a 10-day waiting period on gun purchases, a “good cause” requirement for concealed carry permit issuance, a ban on campus carry for self-defense, a ban on teachers carrying on K-12 campuses for classroom defense, and a limit on the number of guns law-abiding citizens can buy each month.

California also requires would-be purchasers to pass a background check before acquiring ammunition.

Professor: Will Smith Oscars Slap Was Triggered by 400 Years of ‘Black Erasure,’ ‘Black Silencing’

Hunter College professor Eisa Nefertari Ulen claims that Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars last week was triggered by 400 years of “black erasure, black marginalization, black silencing, and the stereotyping of black people.”

“I think that any time we witness violence, we need to understand that from a place where we recognize the emotional and psychological state that’s driving this physical response to a trigger, and Will Smith was definitely triggered that night,” Ulen told PBS NewsHour in a recent interview.

“But I think in the broader context of American society, we need to understand what was happening there,” the professor continued.

Ulen then went on to claim that Smith — who has an estimated net worth of $350 million — attacked Rock due to 400 years of “black erasure” and “black silencing.”

“It’s really rooted and stepped in a 400-year commitment to black erasure, black marginalization, black silencing, and the stereotyping of black people,” the professor said.

Watch Below:

“All of that was present in a visceral, felt, and real way in the infamous slap,” she added.

Ulen was reacting to Smith marching onto the Oscars stage last weekend and striking Rock in the face after the comedian referred to his wife as “G.I. Jane.” The actor then twice shouted, “Keep my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth” after retaking his seat in the audience — a scene that shocked audience members and viewers.

***LANGUAGE WARNING***

After the assault, many in Hollywood turned on Smith, referring to his onstage meltdown as a display of “toxic masculinity,” calling his excuses for hitting Rock “bullshit,” and noting that the actor’s behavior has likely set a “terrible precedent” for comedians on stage.

The Academy Awards also condemned Smith’s actions, declaring that it “does not condone violence in any form,” and later announced a formal investigation into the matter.

Smith, however, appeared unbothered by the battery, as the actor was later seen dancing the night away with fellow Hollywood elites at the Vanity Fair Oscars after party, where he told the Hollywood Reporter, “It’s been a beautiful night.”

On Friday, Smith resigned from the Motion Picture Academy, nearly one week after assaulting Rock during the live broadcast of the Academy Awards.

“I will fully accept any and all consequences for my conduct,” he said. “My actions at the 94th Academy Awards presentation were shocking, painful, and inexcusable.”

Man Arrested in Connection to Sacramento Shooting Was Released Early from Prison Despite DA Opposition

Smiley Martin, the second of three suspects arrested in connection with Sunday’s Sacramento, CA, shooting, was released early from prison in February despite District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert opposing the release.

The Sacramento Bee reports that Martin is charged with “assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.”

The Los Angeles Times points out Martin’s gun had allegedly been stolen and was converted into a fully automatic weapon, and he will face charges for those things as well.

Martin was convicted in 2018 and received a ten-year sentence but was released early from prison, despite DA Schubert’s opposition to the early release.

DA Schubert wrote a letter to the parole board urging them not to release Smiley: “Inmate Martin has, for his entire adult life, displayed a pattern of criminal behavior. While the current case on review may not be ‘violent’ under the Penal Code, Inmate Martin’s criminal conduct is violent and lengthy.”

She also noted, “Inmate Martin has committed several felony violations and clearly has little regard for human life and the law, which can be shown by his conduct in his prior felony convictions of robbery, possession of a firearm and prior misdemeanor conviction of providing false information to a peace officer.”

WATCH: Players Viciously Attack Ref After Youth Basketball Game

A group of teens violently attacked a referee in Georgia after a youth basketball game and the whole thing was caught on video.

Worse, the attack occurred during a game at Stronghold Christian Church in Lithonia, Georgia, TMZ reported.

It seems that some of the players were unhappy with the ref and as players were leaving the court, a group walked up to the ref and confronted him:

The video shows several young men approaching the ref and having words. The ref quickly back peddles from them and tries to run away from them. But the youths follow and begin throwing punches.

In short order, the ref ends up on the floor being kicked and punched by a group of at least six players.

The video also shows two other refs — one a woman — simply standing there and watching as their fellow ref suffers a beat down.

A representative for the church released a statement, saying, “It is truly unfortunate about the turn of events that took place during the basketball game held at our facility this weekend.”

“We open our doors to serve our community and our goal is to provide an atmosphere conducive for enjoyment, enrichment, etc.,” the church added.

“While we can not control people, it is our hope and prayer that those who enter our facility will conduct themselves in the best manner,” the church statement concluded. “Our prayers go out to all those involved in this current situation”

A 24-year-old slain rapper’s dead body was seen propped up in Washington, D.C.’s Bliss nightclub for his “last show.” Bliss management apologized for the event, saying they had no idea of “of what would transpire.”

The embalmed body of rapper Goonew, whose real name is Markelle Morrow, was seen in viral video footage on social media apparently propped up on the stage of Bliss nightclub over the weekend, wearing designer clothing and a crown.

“Well, it appears that a public viewing was held at a local nightclub to celebrate Goonew’s life on Sunday,” The Shade Room wrote in an Instagram post.

The Shade Room added that a source who attended the event said there was a $40 cover fee to enter the venue.

Video footage of the nightclub viewing also circulated on social media, where it went viral, as social media users commented sharing their horror, confusion, and dismay.

“that goonew vid jus confirmed that ppl really don’t fear God anymore,” one Twitter user reacted.

“no way goonew mama approved that shit that’s so sad & disrespectful,” another wrote.

“This Goonew shit is very disturbing to say the least,” a third commented.

“they’ve got goonew’s dead body propped up in the club for his funeral,” another tweeted. “this is the wildest fucking thing I’ve seen on the internet in a while, I don’t even know what to say.”

Rapper 50 Cent also reacted to the video of Goonew, writing, “oh shit! I just realized what this is.”

The management at Bliss nightclub has since apologized over the spectacle, releasing a statement in which they explained that they were contacted by a funeral home seeking to rent out their venue, but did not know the rapper’s dead body would be displayed.

“Our deepest condolences to Goonew’s family, friends, and fans,” they wrote. “Bliss was contacted by a local funeral home to rent out our venue for Goonew’s home-going celebration.”

“Bliss was never made aware of what would transpire,” they nightclub management added. “We sincerely apologize to all those who may be upset or offended.”

“Please keep Goonew’s family and friends in your prayers at this difficult time,” they concluded.

The rapper’s family, however, say they have “no regrets” regarding Sunday’s funeral at Bliss nightclub, with Goonew’s mother Patrice Morrow telling Fox 5 DC that she is “pleased how she sent her son away” after the funeral sparked outrage on social media.

“For all the negatives, people probably don’t even know nothing about us,” she said. “They have no idea. People just saying what they want to say and that’s fine.”

“That’s perfectly fine,” Morrow added. “I’m pleased with how I sent my son away. I wish people would just let me grieve in peace.”
Goonew was fatally shot on March 18 at the age of 24.

A 60-year-old man was struck with a brick in Harlem recently and the disturbing incident was captured on camera.

The New York Post reported Tuesday:

The victim — who lives in a building on Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard near West 132nd Street — confronted a woman who he believed was stealing packages in the lobby around 3 p.m. Thursday, police said.

The woman left and returned with two other people — one of whom beat the victim with a brick and repeatedly pummeled him in the middle of the street until he fell to the ground, video released late Monday shows.

WARNING — GRAPHIC VIDEO:

Meanwhile, 39 percent of employees in New York City offices are considering leaving the area, as 43 percent of people working from home said “public safety” was their main worry when it came to going back to the office, according to a recent poll.

“The employees’ claims of safety issues on public transit are reinforced by the New York City Police Department’s transit crime statistics,” Breitbart News reported March 25. “From January 1 to March 20 of 2022, transit crime rose 75 percent compared to the same period in 2021.”

Mayor Eric Adams (D) recently said the city had become “a laughingstock” as it suffered from rising crime and the homeless problem, according to the Post.

“Anything goes in the city of New York,” he commented. “The most important city on the globe has become the laughing stock of the globe. And the dysfunctionality of our city has cascaded throughout the entire country.”

Per the recent incident, the victim was transported to a hospital in stable condition but suffering from severe lacerations.

In a social media post, NYPD Crime Stoppers shared images of a suspect in the case:

According to the Post report, the alleged attacker fled the scene and authorities had not arrested anyone as of early Tuesday.

(INSET: professor Eisa Nefertari Ulen) Will Smith appears to slap Chris Rock onstage during the 94th Annual Academy Awards at Dolby Theatre on March 27, 2022 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Neilson Barnard/Getty Images)
Neilson Barnard/Getty, PBS

New York City police are searching for three suspects they say forcibly snatched a 76-year-old woman’s purse during a Bronx robbery, causing her to fall to the floor and break her hip, WNBC reports.

The New York City Police Department (NYPD) Crime Stoppers said the incident occurred at 12:30 a.m. Sunday near Roberts Ave and Hobart Ave in the Bronx. The victim’s son told CBS New York that his mother spotted the trio following her as she returned home from a night of dancing. Neither he nor his mother was identified by the outlet.

Footage appears to show the suspects accosting the victim at the door to her apartment building, CBS New York reported. The victim attempts to stave them off, but they eventually make their way inside, according to the video.

“Police said they grabbed her purse, pulled her hair and swung her around, causing her to fall and break her hip,” according to CBS New York. One of the suspects, who appears to be a woman donning pink pants and a black jacket, takes one last look at the helpless victim while scurrying out of the building, according to the footage.

The victim’s son informed CBS New York that she underwent surgery to repair her hip, adding that she will be in the hospital for an extended time.

“My mother has lived here for 50, 52 years, and the building knows her. She was lucky some neighbors were coming out right afterwards,” he told the outlet. “It’s the worst thing that can happen to somebody her age, you know, breaking your hip — never mind everything else about being assaulted.”

Police said the group made off with her purse, which carried her debit card, insurance card, wallet, and around $50, WNBC noted.

Anyone with information regarding the attack is urged to contact NYPD Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477).

The incident comes as crime rates in the Big Apple have spiraled out of control under Democratic Mayor Eric Adams’s leadership.

From the time Adams assumed office on January 1 through March 27, robberies are up an alarming 46.1 percent compared to the same period in 2021, the NYPD’s crime statistics show. Moreover, grand larceny auto is up 84.7 percent, burglaries have climbed 27.9 percent, and transit crime is up 70.3 percent over the same period compared to last year.

Thief Who Hit Walgreens, CVS in San Francisco Freed Due to Minimum Sentence

The man seen ransacking Walgreens and CVS stores in San Francisco was freed from prison thanks to a minimum sentence.

Jean Lugo Romero pleaded guilty to felony grand theft and a misdemeanor for petty theft prior to being sentenced to 16 months and one-year probation for the robberies, the Daily Mail reported Tuesday:

Under California law, Romero could have been sentenced to three years in prison on the felony rap and another 16 months on the misdemeanor charge.

However, the judge credited him with time served and released Romero back onto the lawless streets of San Francisco. He was ordered to stay away from two Walgreens employees and two stores, as well as one CVS store.

A video of Romero showed him dumping approximately $1,000 worth of cosmetics into a bag. Romero then hopped onto his bicycle and moved past a guard who was standing nearby.

“If you call 911, will they do anything?” a woman in the video asked the guard:

District Attorney Chesa Boudin, who now faces a recall vote, previously defended Romero’s actions, describing him as “desperate,” the Mail report said.

In December, Boudin spoke out against Mayor London Breed’s policy to expand law enforcement funding and declare a “state of emergency” in the crime-ridden Tenderloin district, according to Breitbart News.

“Boudin, the son of a convicted Weather Underground militant, was elected in 2019 on a promise to pursue criminal justice reform, like his predecessor, George Gascón, the George Soros-backed prosecutor who is now D.A. in Los Angeles County,” the report said.

Meanwhile, the shoplifting surge in October forced Walgreens to shut down five additional San Francisco locations.

“Shoplifting has skyrocketed in San Francisco recently, likely a result of Proposition 47, which dictates stealing would not be a felony in California if the item stolen did not exceed $950,” Breitbart News reported at the time.
