George Soros Defends Radical Prosecutors in WSJ Op-ed
Billionaire left-wing mega-donor George Soros has written an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal justifying his support for electing radical prosecutors across the country amid a rise in violent crime and recall elections by angry urban residents.
Since 2018, Soros has been responsible for electing dozens of prosecutors in big-city jurisdictions, often ousting centrist Democrats. Their arrival has been accompanied by spikes in violent crime and social disorder, prompting an urban exodus.
In June, voters in the left-wing stronghold of San Francisco ousted radical prosecutor Chesa Boudin in a rare recall vote. Now, voters in Los Angeles are poised to hold a similar recall election to oust Soros-backed prosecutor George Gascón.
In his op-ed, Soros attempts to defend his support for what he calls “reform” prosecutors, describing the “false choice” between “justice” (by which he means left-wing “social justice”) land public safety:
We need to acknowledge that black people in the U.S. are five times as likely to be sent to jail as white people. That is an injustice that undermines our democracy.

In recent years, reform-minded prosecutors and other law-enforcement officials around the country have been coalescing around an agenda that promises to be more effective and just. This agenda includes prioritizing the resources of the criminal-justice system to protect people against violent crime. It urges that we treat drug addiction as a disease, not a crime. And it seeks to end the criminalization of poverty and mental illness.

Serious scholars researching causes behind the recent increase in crime have pointed to other factors: a disturbing rise in mental illness among young people due to the isolation imposed by Covid lockdowns, a pullback in policing in the wake of public criminal-justice reform protests, and increases in gun trafficking. Many of the same people who call for more-punitive criminal-justice policies also support looser gun laws.
Soros also repeats a claim — first popularized by California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), who backed Gascón — that murder rates are highest in Republican-run states, ignoring the fact that they are highest in Democrat-run cities.

Suspects Avoid Murder Charges in Indictment for Allegedly Beating Ohio Teen to Death
Three suspects, accused of beating 17-year-old Ethan Liming of Akron, Ohio to death, have avoided murder charges in a grand jury indictment.
As Breitbart News has reported, Liming was beaten to death on June 2 in a parking lot at the I Promise School in Akron, founded by NBA player LeBron James.
Subsequently, 20-year-old Deshawn Stafford Jr., 19-year-old Tyler Stafford, and 21-year-old Donovon Jones were arrested in Liming’s death and initially charged with murder to which all pleaded not guilty.
A grand jury indictment passed down lesser charges to the three suspects.
DeShawn Stafford was indicted on two counts of involuntary manslaughter and one count of aggravated assault while Tyler Stafford was indicted on one count of involuntary manslaughter and assault. Jones was indicted on two counts of assault.
“They feel they were made victims when their son was murdered and made victims again by the system,” Liming family attorney Mike Callahan told the Akron Beacon Journal. “They are angry and frustrated. It’s very difficult for them.”
On the night of June 2, Liming was in a vehicle with four other teens. The group, according to police reports, was driving around shooting a SPLATRBALL Water Bead Blaster outside the vehicle.
Eventually, the group pulled up to the I Promise School’s basketball court and started firing the soft water bead gel gun — provoking an altercation with the group who were at the court, according to police.
A fight ensued between the two groups ensued and that is when police said the Stafford brothers and Jones beat Liming until he was unconscious. Even after he was unconscious, police said the three suspects continued stomping and kicking Liming in the head.
The Stafford brothers allegedly drove Liming’s car away from the scene as Liming’s friends attempted to bring him to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, Jones took the cellphone of one of Limings’ friends as they tried calling 911. When police arrived on the scene, Liming was unresponsive.
All three suspects are each being held at the Summit County Jail on $1 million bail.

At Least 48 Shot During Weekend in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago
At least 48 people were shot, five of them fatally, during the weekend in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago.
Breitbart News reported that 19 people were shot Friday into Saturday night alone, and two of those shooting victims succumbed to their wounds.
ABC 7 / Chicago Sun-Times noted that there were three more fatal shootings over the weekend, one of which occurred on Saturday and two on Sunday.
Saturday’s additional shooting occurred at 11:40 a.m. “on the Bishop Ford Freeway near 130th Street.” A man was shot numerous times in the incident and was taken to a hospital, where he died.
A 16-year-old boy and a man were sitting in a vehicle at a stoplight around 2 a.m. Sunday “in the 4700-block of South Kedzie Avenue in Brighton Park” when someone opened fired on them. The 16-year-old was shot in the head and killed.
The other fatal shooting was discovered just before 6 a.m. Sunday, when a man with multiple gunshot wounds was found lying on a lawn “in the 6900-block of South Talman Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.”
At least 43 other people were shot and wounded in addition to the five people who were killed.

Pet Project: BLM Activist Shaun King Used Donor Funds To Buy $40k Thoroughbred Show Dog
Shaun King's social justice PAC is going to the dogs. Literally.
Grassroots Law PAC, which the progressive grifter founded to elect soft-on-crime local officials, paid roughly $40,000 since December to the California-based Potrero Performance Dogs, according to campaign finance disclosures. The payments are labeled for "contractor services," making their purpose difficult to discern. But days after a $30,650 payment in February, King welcomed a "new member of the King family": an award-winning mastiff bred by Potrero named Marz.
King, who has been hounded for years by allegations of fraud, has not been accused of any wrongdoing in relation to Grassroots Law. But the payments for a dog raises questions about whether the former Bernie Sanders surrogate is using PAC contributions the way donors intended.
"This luxury dog expense may not be illegal for a PAC, but it shows little respect for King's donors," said Scott Walter, the president of Capital Research Center, which investigates left-wing groups. An heiress of the Hormel meatpacking empire is the PAC's largest donor. Facebook cofounder Dustin Moskovitz and his wife donated millions of dollars to Real Justice PAC, which King launched in 2018 and works closely with Grassroots Law.
Grassroots Law PAC, which aims to "elect candidates who are committed to reducing mass incarceration and police violence," has spent nearly as much on King's pet as it has on political candidates. The PAC has contributed around $56,000 to political candidates since 2021. It paid $10,000 to Potrero in December and another $30,650 on Feb. 16.
King has come under fire over the years amid repeated failures at his various social justice endeavors. The mother of Tamir Rice, a 12-year-old Ohio boy killed by police, said King "robbed" her by holding unauthorized fundraisers in her son's name. A former King ally, DeRay Mckesson, has publicly accused him of fraud. Real Justice PAC was ordered in December to pay $30,000 to the city of Philadelphia for campaign finance violations in the race to elect District Attorney Larry Krasner (D.).
King has denied allegations of fraud, chalking his failed projects up to poor management or false claims from his enemies. He released an audit in 2019 that said he received a $4,166 monthly salary from Real Justice PAC and "no compensation at all" from Action PAC, the predecessor to Grassroots Law PAC. He said he was "literally the only person" on Action PAC's staff who does not get paid.
"I have not received a salary or a stipend of any kind for the entire year," he claimed. "I do it all for free."
While King said Marz would provide "alertness and protection" alongside duties as a family pet, it appears the thoroughbred is no longer in the activist's care. Potrero Performance Dogs showed Marz at an American Kennel Club competition earlier this month, where he won Best in Show. The breeder said in a social media post this month that Marz was back in its care because "he's got a little too much energy to be a family dog so he came back."
Potrero, Grassroots Law, and King's media company did not respond to requests for comment.

As for interracial violence generally, blacks disproportionately commit it. Between 2012 and 2015, there were 631,830 violent interracial victimizations, excluding homicide, between blacks
and whites, according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics. Blacks, who make up 13 percent of the U.S. population, committed 85.5 percent of those victimizations, or 540,360 felonious assaults on
whites, while whites, 61 percent of the population, committed 14.4 percent, or 91,470 felonious assaults on blacks. Regarding threats to blacks from the police, a police officer is 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male is to be killed by a police officer.
Anti-cop activist Shaun King says that his involvement in the campaign around the Jazmine Barnes murder was not driven by reports that a white man had killed the seven-year-old girl, who was gunned down in Houston on December 30. According to Barnes’s mother and 15-year-old sister, the white driver of a pickup truck had pulled up next to the family’s car before opening fire. The accusation set off a frenzy of hate-crime allegations and blanket coverage by the New York Times. King offered a $100,000 reward to anyone who located the suspect.
As it turned out, Jazmine Barnes was killed by two black men, who opened fire on her mother’s car because they thought that they were targeting enemies of their gang. King passed along a tip about the real killers to the Houston police, and now says that he merely “internalized the pain of the family and tried to search as if it were my own child who was killed.” Race, in other words, had nothing to do with his activism.
It’s worth remembering, though, the many other black children who have been victims of drive-by shootings without leading King to launch a national crusade.
A sampling: in March 2015, a six-year-old boy was killed in a drive-by shooting on West Florissant Avenue in St. Louis, as Black Lives Matter protesters were converging on the Ferguson, Missouri, Police Department to demand the resignation of the entire department. In August 2015, a nine-year-old girl was killed by a bullet from a drive-by shooting in Ferguson while doing her homework in her bedroom, blocks from the Black Lives Matter rioting thoroughfare. Five children were shot in Cleveland over the 2015 Fourth of July weekend. A seven-year-old boy was killed in Chicago that same weekend by a bullet intended for his father. In Cincinnati, in July 2015, a four-year-old girl was shot in the head and a six-year-old girl was left paralyzed and partially blind from two separate drive-by shootings. In Cleveland, three children five and younger were killed in September 2015, leading the black police chief to break down in tears and ask why the community only protests shootings of blacks when the perpetrator is a cop. In November 2015, a nine-year-old in Chicago was lured into an alley and killed by his father’s gang enemies; the father refused to cooperate with the police. All told, ten children under the age of ten were killed in Baltimore in 2015; twelve victims were between the age of ten and seventeen.
In 2016, a three-year-old girl in Baltimore was partially paralyzed by a drive-by shooting. In Chicago in 2016, two dozen children under the age of 12 were shot in drive-bys, including a three-year-old boy mowed down on Father’s Day 2016 who is now paralyzed for life and a ten-year-old boy shot in August; his pancreas, intestines, kidney, and spleen were torn apart. A Jacksonville 22-month-old was shot to death by a passing car last June. In September, three men killed three-year-old Azalya Anderson in a drive-by in Sacramento, and a week before Christmas in Bridgeport, a 12-year-old boy was shot and killed on his way home from the candy store in a drive-by shooting.
Why did King let these shootings of black children go by without responding as he did to Jazmine Barnes’s murder? Could it be because the perpetrators were black? You could end all white shootings of black children tomorrow and it would have zero effect on the death rate of black children by homicide, because such white-on-black shootings are extremely rare. Moral abominations, like the 2015 Charleston church massacre by white supremacist Dylann Roof, are aberrations that belong to the outermost lunatic fringe of American society. The country’s revulsion at the Charleston carnage was immediate and universal, resulting in a movement to banish the Confederate flag, embraced by Roof as a white supremacist symbol, from official sites.
If Shaun King and other Black Lives Matter activists really want to save black children from the trauma of urban violence, they should put their efforts into rebuilding inner-city culture—above all, by revalorizing a married father as the best gift a mother can give her child. Fantasies about white violence against “black bodies” are a distraction from what is actually happening on American streets.

Walter Williams tackles the elephant in the room on crime
Dr. Williams is a well known conservative economist and longtime John Olin Chair faculty at George Mason University in eastern Virginia, author of 12 books and syndicated columnist. In the past, he has been substitute host on the Rush Limbaugh radio program. He is almost like family to me, and I have benefited from his essays and books over the years. This past week, I saw and read his essay on disparities in crime rates among races that was picked up by Military in its October 2019 issue. What got Dr. Williams going was the article by Matthew DeLisi of Iowa State U and John Paul Wright of the U of Cincinnati titled "What Criminologists Don't Say and Why."
Dr. Williams confirms that the writers are right about the liberal tilt of criminologists — "If criminologists have the guts to even talk about a race-crime connection, it's behind closed doors and in guarded language. Any discussion about race and crime ... can mean the end of one's professional career."
Dr. Williams points out teen black-on-white predatory behavior — chronicled in detail by many, particularly Colin Flaherty, whose investigative reports appear frequently (more than 100) at American Thinker — cannot be reported, mentioned, or considered by the media, politicians, criminologists, commentators, politicians, even law enforcement people without risking being called racist, the easy epithet used to enforce a ban on talking about the realities of racial disparities in crime and the increasingly violent nature of black violence against whites — the knockout game, polar bear hunting, flash mob violence against people and property.
Referencing the Wright and DeLisi report, Dr. Williams comments on another reality: that the rate of black homicide and armed robbery as well as other violent crimes are as is as much as 15–30 times more than whites, for example, and he points out the silliness of criminologists' claims that mass incarceration rather than criminality has decimated the black community. He favorably quotes Wright and DeLisi when they say, "What they [criminals] did, in reality was to prey on their neighbors."
Dr. Williams returns to a theme he has explored many times before in this essay and commentary when he points out that the black family of the past was two parents and stable, even back to days of slavery, and that the black community was moral and law-abiding. "The strong character of black people is responsible for the great progress made from emancipation to today. ... [T]oday's conduct among black youth wouldn't have been tolerated yesteryear."
My regret is there aren't enough Walter Williams and Thomas Sowell types to engage the nutty attitudes of liberal chatterbox experts.

The United States: Most Racist Nation Ever?
Those that allege the U.S. is a racist nation often cite income disparities between whites and other ethnicities. That’s the narrative that propels the Critical Race Theory initiative that has countless numbers of whites groveling and suffering from irredeemable guilt. White fragility and anti-racism pressures have brainwashed the Woke into endemic guilt over their white skin. Are minorities at the bottom of the income scale due to systemic racism? Hardly! 2020 Census Bureau data shows in stark terms, at least eight non-white ethnic groups do better than the average American, including Whites.
Can the paucity of mixed-race marriages be an indicator racist country? How can it be that racist America has a 10% rate of marriages that are of mixed race? This percentage has been steadily rising over the years. In 2021 15% of all marriages were mixed race. And, according to Gallup an overwhelming majority of 94% of Americans approve of mixed marriages.
The demographics of America is more diverse than ever and keeps going up year by year. If this were a truly a racist nation, Americans would not show up in droves every time to help their fellow citizens, no matter their race, after a disaster. America has 146 million people that identify as ethnic minorities. The continued lie that the U.S. is a racist nation is a repeated narrative from progressive groups, media, academia, and entertainment and it isn’t true.
If the U.S. is racist, how could we welcome so many people from different ethnicities, races and cultures? You sure can’t tell it from U.S. immigration policy. In the data from the Census Bureau, as of 2016, the foreign-born population was in excess of 43 million of which only 8 million are white (18.6%). Why would America welcome millions of non-whites from all over the world to our shores if we were racist through and through?
In the area of advanced degrees, 63% of the Masters degrees in 2020 were granted to whites and 37% were granted to minorities. According to the 2020 Census, the white/minority demographic was 61.3% versus 38.7%. The numbers above show that the American higher education system is clearly not racist.
According to Brookings, the liberal think tank, the diversity of the nation’s middle class matches the overall diversity of the nation. There has been dramatic progress over the past 40 years to the point where middle-class diversity is a representative overlay matching the national demographic percentages. Opportunity exists for our citizens to rise to the middle class and higher without constraints or bias due to racism holding people back.
On February 26, 2021, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) released the Fiscal Year 2020 Enforcement and Litigation Data. Their statistics demonstrate the extreme rarity of discrimination in the U.S. contrary to the constant beating of the drum in the press about rampant racism. EEOC received charges of workplace discrimination in FY 2020 was down roughly 7% from 2019. In drastic contrast, the agency received five times the number of charges in 2010. Where residual racism is found, it is investigated and adjudicated in accordance with the laws.
What about racism in holding public office as a member of Congress? At the seating of the 117th Congress, there were 124 minority members, a 97% increase in minority members in the House of Representatives since the Congress of 2001-2003.
With respect to law enforcement, 12.1% of the police in the U.S. are black. The black population of the U.S. stands at 12.5%.
Regarding military composition, Task Force One Navy reported that in 2021, the U. S. military had a minority representation at 43% versus a national demographic of 39%.
The mainstream media, social media, academia, entertainment industry are lying to the American public about “pervasive racism.” Instead of telling the truth about how far we have come, how much racism is a thing of the past, how much opportunity and equality abounds in our land, they lie, obfuscate and parrot talking points about racism that are fabrications and not supported by fact.
There is an evil and dishonest breed of people who make their living from spreading lies about racism in America. Many are in academia, and they make their living telling lies to sell books and give highly compensated speeches about how racist a nation that they live in while they rake in millions of dollars. There are also many “race hustlers” in the media and they have the same modus operandi as the academics who label everyone that they disagree with as racist. This while they spread exaggerated stories about racism in a constant deluge to foment unrest and chaos. There is ample, legitimate scholarship about college admissions, employment opportunity, cultural factors by race, and the negative impacts of the welfare state on the state of the races in America today. The popular press promotes victimology for even the most entitled and richest black people. For a reality check about true opportunity in America, read the scholarship of Dr. Thomas Sowell, Dr. Glenn Loury, Dr. Jason Hill, Dr. Shelby Steele, Dr. Wilfred Reilly, Dr. Carol Swain, or Robert Woodson, Sr.
There is a common myth promoted by the left and the media (Okay -- that was redundant) that unarmed blacks are being preyed on by the police in large numbers. The Marxist Black Lives Matter (that has at the national organization level done little to nothing for poor blacks) movement is one of the purveyors of this lie. Actual DoJ data is confirmed by multiple independent sources, including the Washington Post, that the numbers of unarmed blacks killed by police each year is tiny. An unarmed black person is much more at risk of being killed by lightning each year than they are to be killed by a police officer. In fact, the data shows that a black person is 400 times more likely to be killed by another black than to be killed by a policeman. Another truth largely unknown and completely untold by the left and the media is that crime is largely either white on white or black on black.
In conclusion, too many Americans are deceived into thinking race relations and racism are big problems in the nation. As in George Orwell’s 1984, if a lie is repeated often enough, it becomes a truth. Those baseless stories are what the left, the media, academia, big business, and Hollywood want you to believe. Etute, who is 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, beat the 153-pound Smith to death. Etute struck Smith in the head five times, knocking him to the floor. Etute admitted in court that he stomped on Smith's face as he left the apartment, leaving a bloody shoe print on Smith's cheek. Nearly all the bones in Smith's face were broken, an autopsy revealed. Smith also suffered bleeding of the brain and had his teeth knocked out.

A new video released by the New York Police Department has once again highlighted the heinous crimes taking place in Democrat-run New York City.
In the video, a man was struck by an oncoming vehicle while attempting to cross a crosswalk in the Bronx neighborhood of New York City. The vehicle did not appear to slow down before striking him.
The 39-year-old victim went flying into the air and fell to a heap on the ground, where he was unconscious, the U.K.’s Daily Mail reported. Three men were reportedly in the car at the time it struck the victim.
A subsequent video showed two men running up to the man’s motionless body and stealing things out of his pockets. They then reportedly got back in the car and drove away.

According to WNYW-TV, police said the men returned to the unconscious body a second time and checked his pockets again before finally leaving the area for good.
The incident occurred around 6:40 am on Saturday morning, and the victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln with serious injuries. He was listed in critical condition as of Sunday.
An NYPD told the Daily Mail there was no evidence proving the attack was deliberate, and it was unclear whether the attackers knew the victim beforehand.
Police said the suspects were all thin with dark complexions.
Following news of the attack, many Twitter users decried the condition of the United States’ most populated city.
“Wow this is insane,” one user wrote. “The balls of them to actually get out and take his stuff. This city is a mess.”
Another user suggested New York City was worse than a third-world country because of its crime.

While heinous crimes like these were once unthinkable in a developed country like the U.S., leftist policies including cashless bail and leniency for criminals have led to rising crime in many major cities.
Just across New York City in Brooklyn, three armed men allegedly robbed a church and stole over $400,000 worth of jewelry in the middle of a service on Sunday.
Earlier this month in Los Angeles, Olympic volleyball player Kim Glass said she was hit with a metal pipe by a homeless man. In Philadelphia, a 73-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death with a traffic cone by a group of juveniles on June 24.
These are just a few examples of the many disgusting crimes being committed every day in America’s major cities, most of which are run by Democrats. Americans must demand better from our leaders.

- Grover “Wade“ Edwards, III, 40, was fatally shot in Roanoke, VA.
Keandra S. Smith, 29, was charged with second-degree murder.

- Dr. Preston Phillips, 59, Dr. Amanda Glenn, 40, Dr. Stephanie Husen, 48, and William Love, 73, were victims of a mass shooting.
The black gunman, Michael Louis, 45, who had targeted his black doctor, fatally shot himself after killing four people.

Police say Tyje Garrett, 42, shot and killed Arellano, allegedly after an argument at a party.

- Ethan Liming, 17, was beaten to death in Akron, OH.

Arrested were Deshawn Stafford Jr., 20, Tyler Stafford, 19 and Donovon Jones, 21.

- Christopher Nicholas Fariello, 33, a Tallahassee, FL Police Officer, died in the line of duty after his car was rammed.

- The body of Stephanie Shenefield, 38, was found in a ditch in Palmetto, FL.
Arrested (on a charge of dumping her body) was 51-year-old William Redden. Shenefield apparently died at his home.

- 29-year-old Justin Dewayne Goodman and 23-year-old Savannah Lyn Anglin were fatally shot in David County, NC.
Arrest warrants were issued for Anthony LaQuane Brooks. The crime seems to have been a home invasion.

- 19-year-old Jacob Pierce was fatally shot in St. Louis, MO.
Also fatally shot was 24-year-old Markco Willingham. Pierce was White. Willingham was black.
Trevontae Sain, of Berkeley, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

- Perry County Detention Officer Jeremiah Story, 21, was fatally shot in Perryville, AR.
Roderick De’Shaun Lewis, 37, was arrested. Lewis, who was being arrested for drunk driving, had not been searched before being booked. He produced a pistol and shot Story [New details uncovered in Perry County Detention officer death, by Claire Kreuz, KARK.com, June 28, 2022].

- Amy Raelynne Phillips, 46, was fatally shot in Conover, NC.
Also shot and wounded was the victim’s daughter, Keiyara Kelly Johnson, 22.
25-year-old Shykwon Gibbs was charged with murder and attempted murder.
The alleged killer was apparently the daughter’s boyfriend:
In 911 calls obtained by Channel 9, you can hear Phillips asking for help after saying her daughter’s boyfriend broke into the home and that he had a gun.
“I need the police to come out here there’s someone banging on my door,” she said. “He’s got a gun. It’s my daughter’s boyfriend.”

- Steven Jackson, 18, and a 16-year-old male juvenile were fatally shot in Altus, OK.
Police arrested 18-year-old Dawan Brown and a 16-year-old male juvenile. We don’t know the races of the unnamed juvenile victim or the unnamed juvenile alleged gunman, because neither the police nor the media think we need to know.

- Jordan A Keeton, 46, was fatally shot in Abbott, TX.

- Logan Etterle, 21, was fatally shot in Augusta, GA.
Arrested were D’Andre Tandy, 26, and Keyon Smiley, 31.

- Jaden Halpern, 17, was fatally shot in Lima, OH.

- Jailen Holton, 21, was fatally shot outside a restaurant in Philadelphia, PA.

- 64-year-old Gaber Baghdady was fatally shot in Charleston, South Carolina.
Arrested was Antwan Lamont Scott.
The victim appears to be of Middle Eastern descent. The motive was apparently robbery.

- Tia Bivins was fatally shot in Denver, Colorado in 2019.
Her husband, Phillip Bivins, was found guilty of second-degree murder in June 2022.

- Sabrina Lowery, 22, was fatally shot during a home invasion in 2020 in Anderson, SC.
Her unborn child was also died.
Ronnie Gaddis, the alleged shooter, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter, death to an unborn fetus during the commission of a violent crime, and attempted armed robbery. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison and 5 years of probation in June 2022.

- North County Police Cooperative officer Michael Langsdorf was shot and killed in the line of duty in Missouri in 2019.
A jury found Bonnette Kymbrelle Meeks guilty of the murder in June 2022.

- The remains of Sherri Herrera, a 30-year-old mother of four, were found on a highway on-ramp in March 1993 in California.
Charged on June 10, 2022 was retired cross-country truck driver Douglas Thomas.
Thomas was also jailed on a murder warrant that charges him in the April 1992 death of Shenda Denise Hayes in Texas.

- UPDATE: Mohamed Noor, the Somali-American police officer who fatally shot Justine Rusczcyk Damond in 2017, in Minneapolis, MN, has been released from jail.
Noor, 36, was initially sentenced to 12.5 years in prison for her death, but was released from the North Dakota State Penitentiary on June 27, 2022 as a result of a State Supreme Court decision. (We’re not counting her in this month’s total).

Overall, FBI data suggests blacks are over 13 times more likely to kill whites than vice versa. This month we found just one white-on-black killing. A white criminal, ironically released due to lenient Baltimore “disincarceration”-type sentencing, killed a black police officer.
