Democrat-run Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City are leading the way in urban residential decline, U.S. Census Bureau population estimates released Thursday reveal.

The data reveals eight of the 10 largest cities in the U.S. lost population up to mid-2021.

Specifically between July 2020 and July 2021, New York lost more than 305,000 people, while Chicago and Los Angeles contracted by 45,000 residents and 40,000 people, respectively.

The top 15 largest cities remained the same as in 2020 although more than half experienced decreases in their population between 2020 and 2021: New York, New York (-305,465); Los Angeles, California (-40,537); Chicago, Illinois (-45,175); Houston, Texas (-11,777); Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (-24,754); San Diego, California (-3,783); Dallas, Texas (-14,777); San Jose, California (-27,419); and Indianapolis, Indiana (-5,343).

Although San Francisco’s not among the 10 largest cities, almost 55,000 residents left that Democrat-run city, or 6.3 percent of its 2020 population, the highest percentage of any U.S. city.

Among the 10 largest U.S. cities, only San Antonio and Phoenix gained new residents by adding some 13,000 people each, or less than one percent of their populations, according to 2021  population estimates.

Reasons for population changes vary from city to city, driven by the cumulative impact of housing costs, jobs, births and deaths.  The report highlights most recent departures came during the height of the coronavirus pandemic, however other factors are at play.

As Breitbart News reported, inner city crime is a common factor in major cities across America, with the problems besetting Chicago emblematic of how widely spread the problem of violence is.

Republican senators held a press conference on Capitol Hill earlier this year to highlight how crime and homicides surging across the country are connected to “soft-on-crime” policies in cities run by Democrats.

“Crime is surging across this country,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said at the press briefing. “Murder rates are rising. Assault rates are rising. Carjacking rates are rising.”

“The crime that we are seeing surging across this country is a direct result of Democrats’ soft-on-crime policies,” Cruz said.

Overall, 12 Democrat-run cities had record homicides in 2021 and 2022 has so far shown no respite from those deadly figures.

The response of President Joe Biden to the growing problem is to blame guns.

He met with New York Democrats in February,  blaming the number of available guns in New York City for the dramatic rise in crime there.

The president indicated Republicans were blocking gun control measures in Congress, allegedly allowing the rise in gun crime to continue.

The New York Post reports “nearly every category of overall serious crime in the city is on the rise” in 2022, citing police data showing an increase of 35.2 percent in crime compared to 2021.

The Post observed Democrats in the state continue loosening prosecution guidelines for minor crimes in the name of criminal justice.

Across the entire U.S.-Mexico border, some 100,000 foreign nationals are waiting for Title 42 to end so they can rush the border. Sources close to Breitbart News have said that 6,000 foreign nationals are awaiting the policy’s end in Tijuana, alone.

Without Title 42, Biden officials admit that up to half a million border crossers and illegal aliens — the equivalent of the resident population of Atlanta, Georgia — could arrive at the border every month.

CNN’s Juliette Kayyem Demands Federal Government Suspend Immigration Enforcement in Uvalde

In the wake of Tuesday’s attack on a Texas elementary school which left 19 children and two adults dead, CNN national security analyst Juliette Kayyem called for the federal government to suspend immigration enforcement in the area of Uvalde, Texas, and turn the small town into a “safe harbor” for illegals residing there.

Speaking to CNN on Tuesday, Kayyem cited the demographics of the area of the shooting to highlight the importance of halting immigration enforcement there.

“From an investigation standpoint, I’m going to do what the facts tell me now. So I’ve got demographics first of all, [it’s] an 80% Hispanic school district,” she said.

“So the most important thing for the federal government to do right now is to say there will be no immigration enforcement during this period in that area,” she added.

Due to the vicinity’s “large immigration population,” Kayyem explained that families should be united at this time and that “you don’t want people hiding right now.”

“We need to make that clear ASAP because of the political issues in Texas,” she said in reference to Texas’ dealing with record-setting numbers of migrants illegally crossing the border from Mexico into the United States.

About 60 to 70 percent of migrant crossings occur in the five Texas-based Border Patrol sectors.

Noting that the town, located about 85 miles west of San Antonio and roughly 75 miles from the border with Mexico, is a “predominantly Hispanic population with a large immigrant community,” Kayyem reiterated the need to declare the area a “safe harbor” for illegal immigrants.

“We need the federal government to say right now, ‘Everyone is essentially safe harbor right now in terms of immigration status,’” she said.

“We need people to come forward, not to be fearful of immigration status,” she added.

Kayyem, who served as assistant secretary for homeland security under President Obama, explained that in incidents like this, “when we’re going to have a strong police presence [and] a strong federal presence,” many in such communities “do not react — especially if their status is unknown — to police presence as you or I may.”

“We want to make sure that they know despite all the politics that are going on in Texas right now, it’s the federal government that’s in charge of immigration enforcement and people are safe,” she said.

“Get your kids, get your families together, do not hide. And the White House just needs to say that right now,” she added. “This should not be delayed.”

Last month, Kayyem argued against referring to a New York City subway station shooting  that injured more than two dozen people as an act of “terrorism,” a term she said should be reserved for political acts such as the January 6 Capitol riot.

In February, she called to slash the tires of the Canadian trucker convoy and arrest the drivers protesting their government’s strict coronavirus policies.

In December, Kayyem accused former President Donald Trump of “leading a terror movement.”

In 2015, she protested against arming people in soft targets such as schools and public venues to prevent attacks.

“I want to make it clear here, guns are not the solution here. The idea of arming everyone who might be in a soft target is absurd. I mean, then you’re talking about schools, movie theaters — you’d have a very different society,” she said.

THE DEMOCRAT PARTY AND THE RISE OF MEXICAN FASCISM IN AMERICA….. Your tax dollar at work!

A ballpark figure for the amount given to legal immigrants is zero. Razaista rule is “America last” on full display.

"This is country belongs to Mexico" is said by the Mexican Militant. This is a common teaching that the U.S. is really AZTLAN, belonging to Mexicans, which is taught to Mexican kids in Arizona and California through a LA Raza educational program funded by American Tax Payers via President Obama, when he gave LA RAZA $800,000.00 in March of 2009!

Foreign nationals protested in Tijuana, Mexico, on Sunday to demand President Joe Biden end the Title 42 public health authority at the United States-Mexico border, a policy they declared “racist.”

Months ago, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that on May 23 the Biden administration would end Title 42. The authority was first issued by former President Donald Trump in 2020 and has allowed officials to quickly remove illegal aliens from the U.S. after their arrival at the border.

In April, Trump-appointed Judge Robert R. Summerhays announced he would block the Biden administration from ending Title 42. Late last week, Summerhays issued a preliminary injunction against Biden’s efforts to end Title 42 — blocking the policy from being eliminated.

On Sunday, foreign nationals marched through Tijuana to beg Biden to end Title 42.

“End Title 42 now!” one sign reads while another seemingly states, “Down with Title 42, Down with racists.” One other sign reads, “No more Title 42” and another one states, “Defend asylum.”

Protesters also waved rainbow flags, representing gay pride, as well as the flag often waved by transgender advocates. Others carried the flags of their nations of origin, such as Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras.

In a separate protest Monday, open borders advocates protested in San Ysidro, California, in front of the border wall, demanding that Biden “terminate Title 42” and “End Title 42.”

At similar protests last week, foreign nationals protested outside of the U.S. Consulate in Mexico to plead with Biden to end Title 42. Many of the protesters claimed that the policy is discriminatory against their wanting to enter the U.S. interior.

As Breitbart News has reported for months, the Biden administration has been prematurely winding down the use of Title 42 at the border. Most recently, sources close to Breitbart News confirmed that the agency has prematurely ended Title 42.

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) told Breitbart News that he would expect 30,000 border crossers and illegal aliens every day at the border without Title 42.

As Murders Reached Unprecedented Highs, Top Dem Recruit Backed Motion To End Cash Bail

Cincinnati councilman Greg Landsman worked to release criminals, pull funding from police

Cincinnati councilman Greg Landsman (D.)

A top Democratic congressional recruit in an Ohio swing district backed a motion to end cash bail in Cincinnati as the city experienced an "unprecedented" homicide spike.

As a Cincinnati city councilman in April 2019, Greg Landsman submitted and approved a motion to eliminate cash bail for nonviolent misdemeanor cases. Nearly one year later, the Democrat introduced a second motion that called for such offenders to avoid arrest altogether and instead receive a "citation to court." And in June 2020, as homicides reached an unprecedented high in the city following George Floyd's death, Landsman took the policy a step further—he signed onto another motion that endorsed ending cash bail altogether and called for "public pressure" on the surrounding county to do the same. Landsman told the Cincinnati Enquirer he supported the measure because Floyd's death "changed something" in him.

Roughly two years later, Landsman is the Democratic nominee to unseat Rep. Steve Chabot (R.). Though he must win over swing-district voters to win the race, Landsman's crime policies are more closely aligned with his party's most liberal members. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.), for example, in November called for a "federal intervention" against the use of "excessive bail." Just one day earlier, Darrell Brooks allegedly plowed through a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wis., while out of jail on an "inappropriately low bail amount." The rampage killed 5 people and injured at least 48 others.

Landsman's crusade against cash bail is not the only time the Democrat endorsed soft-on-crime policies during the summer of 2020. In June of that year, Landsman penned a proposal to pull $200,000 in funding from Cincinnati's police budget. Just weeks later, the city suffered its fourth double homicide of the year.

Landsman's proposals to end cash bail and defund police did not stop the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) from recruiting the councilman to challenge Chabot. In March, the committee added Landsman to its "highly competitive Red to Blue program," which it says "arms top-tier candidates with organizational and fundraising support, strategic guidance, staff resources, candidate training, and more." The DCCC's press release announcing the move said Landsman "has dedicated his career to making life better for children and families."

Landsman did not return a request for comment. According to a 2020 Manhattan Institute study, bail reform policies such as those championed by Landsman have "led to the release of a number of dangerous defendants, many of whom were later rearrested for offenses committed while awaiting the deposition of their cases."

The DCCC's support for Landsman may have deterred other Democrats from entering the race against Chabot. Landsman did not face a Democratic challenger and formally emerged as the party's nominee following Ohio's Tuesday primary elections. The councilman has raised roughly $562,000 to Chabot's $1 million.

Landsman is not the only defund the police supporter with ties to the DCCC. In May 2020, for example, committee digital strategist Nijeria Boone labeled police a "terrorist group" and called to "abolish the police" because "they were created to capture runaway slaves." DCCC chairman Sean Patrick Maloney (N.Y.) has assured voters that Democrats do not support defunding the police, an accusation he called a "Republican talking point."
