OKLAHOMA GOV KEVIN SCOTT SIGNS NATION'S STRICTEST ABORTION BAN - HEAVY BREEDER 'GOOD CATHOLIC' NANCY PELOSI, NOW EXCOMUNICATED, HOWLS FOR BABY BUTCHERS AND MORE PLANNED PARENTHOOD BRIBES

Dr. Leah Torres, an OB/GYN in Salt Lake City, Utah, said that when she performs certain abortions she cuts the vocal cord of the baby so "there's really no opportunity" for the child to scream.

Blacks make up slightly less than 13% of the American population – a percentage that’s diminishing daily as the Biden administration floods the country with illegal aliens from Latin America. However, Blacks are also doing their bit to keep their presence in American relatively small: They’re aborting their babies in extraordinary numbers. CNS News caught up with CDC statistics for 2018, based on data from only 31 reporting areas. They show that 117,626 Black children were aborted – or 33.6% of all reported 2018 abortions.

Planned Parenthood improperly took tens of millions of

dollars' worth of government loans intended to help

businesses during the coronavirus, according to a group of

It is the handmaidens working for Planned Parenthood who have joked about selling aborted baby body parts.  And it was Kamala Harris, when she was A.G. of California, who viciously prosecuted the young man who exposed that scandal, after she had received a hefty donation from Planned Parenthood.

9. Maxine Waters laments that her mother could not abort any of her 12 siblings Waters, speaking of civil rights marches, alluded her mother could not have any of her children aborted. Waters is the fifth of 13 children. “I have to march because my mother could not have an abortion,” she said.

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt Signs Nation’s Strictest Abortion Ban

Oklahoma Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt on Wednesday enabled the nation’s strictest abortion laws, honoring an election promise to end availability of the procedure.

Pro-life state lawmakers approved the ban enforced by civil lawsuits rather than criminal prosecution. The legislation is similar to a Texas law passed last year, AP reports.

Under the law from Rep. Wendi Stearman, R-Collinsville, Oklahoma will become the first state in the nation where nearly all abortions are prohibited. In 2021, 5,950 abortions were performed in the state, according to the Oklahoman.

Representatives from Oklahoma’s four abortion clinics said they would stop, if they had not already, terminating pregnancies immediately upon HB 4327 taking effect.

Before taking office, Stitt vowed to sign all anti-abortion bills that crossed his desk — a promise he has honored.

“I promised Oklahomans that as governor I would sign every piece of pro-life legislation that came across my desk and I am proud to keep that promise today,” the first-term Republican said in a statement.

“From the moment life begins at conception is when we have a responsibility as human beings to do everything we can to protect that baby’s life and the life of the mother. That is what I believe and that is what the majority of Oklahomans believe.”

The only exceptions in the Oklahoma law are to save the life of a pregnant woman or if the pregnancy is the result of rape or incest that has been reported to law enforcement.

AP outlined the bill specifically authorizes doctors to remove a “dead unborn child caused by spontaneous abortion,” or miscarriage, or to remove an ectopic pregnancy, a potentially life-threatening emergency that occurs when a fertilized egg implants outside the uterus, often in a fallopian tube and early in pregnancy.

The law also does not apply to the use of morning-after pills such as Plan B or any type of contraception.

The Oklahoman reports abortion providers and reproductive rights groups have vowed to challenge the law in court where they are suing over two other anti-abortion laws Stitt signed this year.

Center for Reproductive Rights Senior Legal Counsel Rabia Muqaddam said providers will ask the Oklahoma Supreme Court to issue a temporary injunction to halt enforcement of the “blatantly unconstitutional” law.

Oklahoma is one of a growing number of Republican-led states seeking to mirror the basic principles of the Texas Heartbeat Act since the U.S. Supreme Court allowed the Texas law to remain in effect while lawsuits continue against it.

Bishop With Jurisdiction Over Pelosi’s Napa Vineyard Joins Cordileone in Barring Her From Communion

(CNSNews.com) - Bishop Robert F. Vasa of the Santa Rosa Diocese in California has joined Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of the San Francisco Diocese in barring House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) from communion, when she attends Mass in his diocese, where she owns a home and vineyard.

According to the financial disclosure report that Pelosi filed last August with the Clerk of the House of Representatives she owns a home and vineyard in St. Helena, in Napa County, that is worth between $5 million and $25 million and that produces between $100,001 and $1,000,000 in income from grape sales.

Napa County is within the Diocese of Santa Rosa.

Bishop Vasa posted a statement on his website on May 20 that was headlined: “Bishop Vasa statement on Archbishop Cordileone’s letter.”

Bishop Vasa’s statement said: “I have visited with the pastor at St. Helena and informed him that if the Archbishop prohibited someone from receiving Holy Communion then that restriction followed the person and that the pastor was not free to ignore it. The new Canon (1379§4) makes it clear that providing sacraments to someone prohibited from receiving them [carries] its own possible penalties.”

On May 19, Archbishop Cordileone of San Francisco sent Speaker Pelosi a notification informing her that she was barred from taking Holy Communion until she repudiates her advocacy of legalized abortion.

"I am hereby notifying you that you are not to present yourself for Holy Communion and, should you do so, you  are not to be admitted to Holy Communion, until such time as  you publicly repudiate your advocacy for the legitimacy of abortion and confess and receive absolution of this grave sin in the sacrament of Penance," Cordileone told Pelosi in the notification.

A 2015 article in the Los Angeles Times was headlined: “Nancy Pelosi’s vineyard makes her fourth-richest Californian in Congress.”

“It can be an odd thing having Nancy Pelosi as your next-door neighbor,” said the Times’ story. “Especially when the House minority leader and her husband open up their bucolic Northern California estate and vineyard on the banks of the Napa River to the likes of Google’s Eric Schmidt, wealthy environmental activist Tom Steyer and Gov. Jerry Brown.”

“‘When all the black SUVs are circling around the property—like planes gathering over O’Hare Airport—that is when you know they are here,’ Susanna Kelham, who owns a winery next to the Pelosi property in St. Helena, told the Los Angeles Times,” the paper reported.

Pelosi’s main California residence is in the Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco.

Texas Catholic Bishop to Pelosi: No Communion Here, Stop 'Advocating the Murder of Children'

(CNS News) -- Last week, the archbishop of San Francisco publicly announced that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is not allowed to receive Communion at Mass until she repents of her advocacy for abortion, which is considered to be murder, a grave sin by the Catholic Church.

Following that lead, the Catholic bishop of Tyler, Texas said Pelosi also is barred from Communion in his diocese until she "repents" and "stops advocating the murder of children."

In a May 25 tweet, Bishop Joseph Strickland, head of the Diocese of Tyler, said, "The concern for Mrs Pelosi’s eternal salvation extends to the Diocese of Tyler. She is barred from Communion here until she repents & stops advocating the murder of children."

"Pray for her heart to be turned to God & away from the power of this world," the bishop added.

In his letter to Pelosi, which was released on May 20, the archbishop of San Francisco, Salvatore Cordileone, wrote, "A Catholic legislator who supports procured abortion, after knowing the teaching of the Church, commits a manifestly grave sin which is a cause of most serious scandal to others. Therefore, universal Church law provides that such persons 'are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.'"

The archbishop continued, "[I]n light of my responsibility as the Archbishop of San Francisco to be 'concerned for all the Christian faithful entrusted to [my] care' (Code of Canon Law, can. 383, §1), by means of this communication I am hereby notifying you that you are not to present yourself for Holy Communion and, should you do so, you are not to be admitted to Holy Communion, until such time as you publicly repudiate your advocacy for the legitimacy of abortion and confess and receive absolution of this grave sin in the sacrament of Penance."

Pelosi, a Catholic whose main residence is in San Francisco, has publicly advocated for abortion for decades. She also is a supporter of so-called "gay marriage," sex-change surgery for transgenders, and the promotion of LGBTQ ideology in the school system, all of which the Catholic Church opposes and views as sinful.

Commenting on Cordileone's directive, Pelosi told MSNBC on May 24, “Our archbishop has been vehemently against LGBTQ rights. In fact he, led the way in an initiative on the ballot in California.”

Denver Archbishop Commends Decision to Deny Communion to Nancy Pelosi

ROME — Denver Archbishop Samuel Aquila released a statement Friday in support of San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone for barring Nancy Pelosi from receiving Holy Communion because of her aggressive abortion advocacy.

“I support and commend my brother bishop for making this courageous, compassionate, and necessary decision,” Archbishop Aquila said in his statement. “I know Archbishop Cordileone to be a shepherd with the heart and mind of Christ, who truly desires to lead others towards Christ’s love, mercy, and promise of eternal salvation.”

“As I have previously written and Archbishop Cordileone makes clear as well, this issue is not about politics or simply enforcing Church rules, but rather about love – love for the individual and love for the entire community,” Aquila continued.

In his statement, Archbishop Aquila noted that Cordileone had made “sincere and diligent efforts at dialogue and persuasion” in his dealings with Ms. Pelosi, making every attempt to “try and avoid this step.”

Nonetheless, “Church teaching is clear that people endanger their souls if they are separated from God because of grave sin and then receive the most Holy Eucharist in an unworthy manner,” he said, and true pastors must call them back to an intimate relationship with God.

When that person is a public figure, he added, “love for the community means guarding against scandal and confusion and allowing others to be led into sin if they don’t see the issue addressed in an appropriate and compassionate manner.”

In his communication, Archbishop Aquila encouraged the faithful of his own archdiocese “to read the letters written by Archbishop Cordileone, and to ask the Holy Spirit with an open heart to clear away any doubt or confusion you have about this issue, and lead you into a more intimate and full relationship with Jesus.”

“Let us pray for all political leaders, that they may govern in a way that promotes and protects the God-given dignity of every person, from conception until natural death,” he said. “And let us pray for our state and country, that we may once again view every precious life as a true gift from our heavenly Father.”

Why the brave archbishop made his move on Nancy Pelosi now

San Francisco's Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone made waves by taking on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, barring her from receiving communion at mass, until she could get her head straight on whether she's the devout Catholic she thinks she is, or the beast who brings abortion on demand to the U.S. as one of its most powerful politicians. A marker has been laid down -- it's one or the other for Pelosi at this point, and since she's going to remain in the pews for awhile, she's now got some time to decide.

Cordileone wrote:

In striving to follow this direction, I am grateful to you for the time you have given me in the past to speak about these matters. Unfortunately, I have not received such an accommodation to my many requests to speak with you again since you vowed to codify the Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision in federal law following upon passage of Texas Senate Bill 8 last September. That is why I communicated my concerns to you via letter on April 7, 2022, and informed you there that, should you not publicly repudiate your advocacy for abortion “rights” or else refrain from referring to your Catholic faith in public and receiving Holy Communion, I would have no choice but to make a declaration, in keeping with canon 915, that you are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.

It was a pretty gentle and shepherd-like response to her obnoxious use of her Catholic faith as her justification for every pro-abortion statement and act she's ever made, however. Cordileone was actually pretty kind to her, speaking of how her pro-abortion stance may be endangering her soul, and how he wanted to save it. Cordileone cited the teachings of Pope Francis and Pope John Paul II and contrasted them to Pelosi's own pro-abortion militancy, so it was clear it wasn't just his opinion. But he didn't kick her out, or excommunicate her, which probably could have been justified under canon law, given her material support for abortion on demand. Instead, he called for prayer -- a shower of roses from heaven as the wording went -- to be rained down on her for the conversion of her soul. He emphasized that he was concerned about her soul, not just the souls of the dead babies she was leaving in her wake. His tone firm but kind.

Pelosi likes to bill herself to voters as sort of an Italian earth mama, a child of the south, which in San Francisco is pretty chic the same way that claiming one has Pilgrim ancestors works well in Boston. Pelosi is a mom of five, and like most Italians worth their salt, is nominally a demonstrative Catholic in the wonderful Italian way. That act was called out particularly effectively by Cordileone, who's even more Italian ethnically than she is, so she can't claim he doesn't understand her. Only Cordileone could do that effectively.

Pelosi, after all, isn't any ordinary cafeteria Catholic who likes abortion but claims to be a devout Catholic anyway. Pelosi is a powerful change agent for promoting abortion as a powerful elected official who cites her Catholic faith as some kind of actual justification for it. It's obvious in record thus far: Pelosi doesn't just favor abortion on demand up until the moment of birth, she also wants the government to be able sue the Little Sisters of the Poor for their pro-life conscientious objection to financing abortions. She's shoveled cash for abortion on demand abroad. She's repeatedly shut down proposed votes in the House for saving infants born alive after abortion. She fully supports ending conscience exemptions on abortion for medical professionals and forcing them to perform abortions whether they like it or not. Most of all, she's all about cash, cash, cash, for the premier human body parts trafficker of aborted babies, Planned Parenthood, which is all about abortion. Now with Roe. v. Wade likely to be overturned by the Supreme Court, she's looking to make abortion until the moment of birth the settled law of the land as House Speaker.

That's a helluva ugly picture, given that the other "devout Catholic," Cheatin' Joe Biden, stands ready to sign any law she might ram through Congress through her good offices. Abortion until the moment of birth will then be codified as law of the land so that even states cannot make up their own minds as to whether they want abortion or not. Leftists are always yelling about too many Catholics on the Supreme Court, but the idea of abortion on demand being the big law of the land, in a form that would make the Bolsheviks, (who first introduced the world to state-sponsored abortion in 1920 as a normal thing) blush, is rather an ugly picture.

With circumstances like that, it was pretty important for Cordileone to act, and act he did, even though it has created controversy. Some bishops and of course, everyone on the left, was critical, claiming he was politicizing the issue. But it wasn't about politics, it was about this sort of thing whether there's going to be a recognition of human life or an ignoring of human life. And from the Catholic point of view, if there was human life, then there was someone with a soul and that made it a topic the Church cannot ignore.

As described in a secular way by Ron Paul in his memoirs here, here is the actual issue:

And yes, as Andrea Widburg noted here, Cordileone's act did take courage. It was gentle, but it was not timid.

After his letter was published, a striking number of other bishops and archbishops have leaped forward to express support and solidarity with Cordileone's letter, including the bishop of the Napa, California area, where Pelosi owns a dacha. He too said he would deny her communion, so for Pelosi, if she wants to get around it, so for Pelosi there's just Washington for communion, where the leftist grip on the clergy remains strong. But now with the hypocrisy exposed, expect even the Washington Church leftists to feel heat, too. The Church has been all over the place on giving communion to Catholics who work to undermine human life and for that matter, the work of the Church in the U.S., suing the humble nuns. With this move, a marker has been laid that a pol can't claim to be a devout Catholic and then lead the effort to promote and fund abortion throughout the country, which is the current specter we see, while being coddled by the Church anymore. That seems to be the root of the Cordileone timing.

People like leaders who can speak with authority, and they follow them. Now with Pelosi (and Biden) set to promote abortion to the country under the rubric of devout Catholicism, it seems that Cordileone has just thrown an emergency brake onto their runaway leftist abortion train.

Biden: ‘We Must…Preserve a Woman’s Right to Choose’ to Kill an Unborn Child

(CNSNews.com) - President Joe Biden said in his State of the Union Address on Tuesday night that “advancing liberty and justice also requires protecting the rights of women” and then went on to call for preserving “a woman’s right to choose”—meaning the right to choose to abort an unborn child.

“Folks, advancing liberty and justice also requires protecting the rights of women,” Biden said.

“The constitutional right affirmed by Roe v. Wade, standing precedent for half a century, is under attack as never before,” he said. “If you want to go forward, not backwards, we must protect access to health care, preserve a woman's right to choose, and continue to advance maternal health care for all Americans.”

Archbishop Cordileone of San Francisco Bans Speaker Nancy Pelosi From Communion

Because of her steadfast and outspoken opposition to Church teaching on abortion, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has been banned from receiving Holy Communion, San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone announced Friday.

“After numerous attempts to speak with Speaker Pelosi to help her understand the grave evil she is perpetrating, the scandal she is causing, and the danger to her own soul she is risking, I have determined that she is not to be admitted to Holy Communion,” Archbishop Cordileone tweeted, linking to a copy of an open "letter to the faithful" on the archdiocese website.

According to the letter, Pelosi is banned from communion “unless and until she publicly repudiate her support for abortion ‘rights’ and confess and receive absolution for her cooperation in this evil in the sacrament of Penance,” the archbishop writes. “I have accordingly sent her a Notification to this effect, which I have now made public.”

The text of the letter (minus footnotes), as posted on the archdiocese website, is presented below:

My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

Pope Francis has been one of the world’s most vocal advocates of human dignity in every stage and condition of life. He decries what he evocatively calls the “throwaway culture.” There can be no more extreme example of this cultural depravity than when direct attacks on human life are enshrined in a nation’s law, celebrated by society, and even paid for by the government. This is why Pope Francis, as much as any pope in living memory, has repeatedly and vividly affirmed the Church’s clear and constant teaching that abortion is a grave moral evil.

Surely no Pope has spoken more eloquently than Pope Francis did in the earliest days of his Pontificate, saying on September 20, 2013:

In a frail human being, each one of us is invited to recognize the face of the Lord, who in his human flesh experienced the indifference and solitude to which we so often condemn the poorest of the poor, whether in developing countries or in wealthy societies. Every child who, rather than being born, is condemned unjustly to being aborted, bears the face of Jesus Christ, bears the face of the Lord, who even before he was born, and then just after birth, experienced the world’s rejection.1

Another valuable insight Pope Francis gives us is that of the inter-connectedness of all of the threats to human dignity in the throwaway culture. As one clear example, in his landmark 2015 Encyclical on the environment, Laudato Si’, he underscored that care for our common home includes care for the weakest among us, including the unborn child:

When we fail to acknowledge as part of reality the worth of a poor person, a human embryo, a person with disabilities – to offer just a few examples – it becomes difficult to hear the cry of nature itself; everything is connected. Once the human being declares independence from reality and behaves with absolute dominion, the very foundations of our life begin to crumble, for ‘instead of carrying out his role as a cooperator with God in the work of creation, man sets himself up in place of God and thus ends up provoking a rebellion on the part of nature.’2

As the Archbishop of San Francisco, I am bound to be “concerned for all the Christian faithful entrusted to [my] care” (Code of Canon Law, can. 383, §1). This most serious duty can sometimes become unpleasant, especially when Catholics in public life explicitly promote practices that involve the direct taking of innocent human life, which is what abortion does. I have struggled with this issue in my own conscience for many years now, especially with regard to the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and member of our Archdiocese, Nancy Pelosi.
I have received letters from very many of you over the years expressing distress over the scandal being caused by such Catholics in public life who promote such grievously evil practices as abortion. I have responded that conversion is always better than exclusion, and before any such action can be taken it must be preceded by sincere and diligent efforts at dialogue and persuasion. With regard to Speaker Pelosi, I have striven to follow this wise route, as delineated by then-Cardinal Ratzinger (later Pope Benedict XVI) in a letter to U.S. bishops regarding Holy Communion and Catholic politicians who cooperate in the grave evils of abortion and euthanasia:
… when a person’s formal cooperation becomes manifest (understood, in the case of a Catholic politician, as his consistently campaigning and voting for permissive abortion and euthanasia laws), his Pastor should meet with him, instructing him about the Church’s teaching, informing him that he is not to present himself for Holy Communion until he brings to an end the objective situation of sin, and  warning him that he will otherwise be denied the Eucharist. When ‘these precautionary measures have not had their effect …,’ and the person in question, with obstinate persistence, still presents himself to receive the Holy Eucharist, ‘the minister of Holy Communion must refuse to distribute it.’3

This instruction is in accordance with canon 915 of the Code of Canon Law, which stipulates, “Those … obstinately persevering in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.” In the pastoral letter I issued a year ago, Before I Formed You in the Womb I Knew You, I laid out the Church’s teaching on cooperation in evil, especially that of abortion, and the proper disposition for receiving Holy Communion, precisely to help our people better understand these principles and what is at stake here.

Unfortunately, Speaker Pelosi’s position on abortion has become only more extreme over the years, especially in the last few months. Just earlier this month she once again, as she has many times before, explicitly cited her Catholic faith while justifying abortion as a “choice,” this time setting herself in direct opposition to Pope Francis: “The very idea that they would be telling women the size, timing or whatever of their family, the personal nature of this is so appalling, and  I say that as a devout Catholic”; “They say to me, ‘Nancy Pelosi thinks she knows more about  having babies than the Pope.’ Yes I do. Are you stupid?”4

After numerous attempts to speak with her to help her understand the grave evil she is perpetrating, the scandal she is causing, and the danger to her own soul she is risking, I have determined that the point has come in which I must make a public declaration that she is not to be admitted to Holy Communion unless and until she publicly repudiate her support for abortion “rights” and confess and receive absolution for her cooperation in this evil in the sacrament of Penance. I have accordingly sent her a Notification to this effect, which I have now made public.
Please know that I find no pleasure whatsoever in fulfilling my pastoral duty here.  Speaker Pelosi remains our sister in Christ. Her advocacy for the care of the poor and vulnerable elicits my admiration. I assure you that my action here is purely pastoral, not political. I have been very clear in my words and actions about this. Speaker Pelosi has been uppermost in my prayer intentions ever since I became the Archbishop of San Francisco. It was my prayer life that motivated me to ask people all around the country to join me in praying and fasting for her in the “Rose and Rosary for Nancy Campaign.” I especially pray that she will see in the roses she has received a sign of the honest love and care that many thousands of people have for her.
I very sincerely thank all of you who have participated in this campaign, and all others who have otherwise prayed and made spiritual sacrifices for our Speaker, and I ask you to continue (or start) to do so. I also ask you actively to support with your time, talent and treasure the efforts of pro-life advocates to accompany women in crisis pregnancies and offer them the support they need to make a choice for life, as well as those who have been scarred by the abortion experience (for our local efforts, see: https://www.sfarch.org/standwithmoms). This is what it means to be truly pro-life. It is the way of love.
May God grant us the grace to be true advocates for the dignity of human life, in every stage and condition of life, and to accompany, support and love women who otherwise would be alone and afraid at a most vulnerable time in their lives.
In Christ, our Source of New Life,

Most Reverend Salvatore J. Cordileone

US archbishop bans Pelosi from communion over abortion rights support

Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, a lifelong Catholic, has been barred from holy communion by the archbishop of San Francisco over her support for abortion

The archbishop of San Francisco told US Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi that she is barred from receiving communion over her support for abortion rights, the archdiocese said in a letter released Friday.

Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone said he in the letter that he had previously asked Pelosi to “publicly repudiate your advocacy for abortion ‘rights’ or else refrain from referring to your Catholic faith in public and receiving Holy Communion” — or face the consequence of being denied access to the rite.

“As you have not publicly repudiated your position on abortion, and continue to refer to your Catholic faith in justifying your position and to receive Holy Communion, that time has now come,” the archbishop said.

“I am hereby notifying you that you are not to present yourself for Holy Communion and, should you do so, you are not to be admitted to Holy Communion, until such time as you publicly repudiate your advocacy for the legitimacy of abortion and confess and receive absolution of this grave sin in the sacrament of Penance,” he added.

Pelosi, a lifelong Catholic from California, said she would work to pass a law to confirm women’s continued right to abortions after the leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v Wade, the 1973 ruling that guaranteed access to the procedure nationwide.

Pelosi’s office made no immediate comment to AFP after the archbishop’s letter was made public.

Communion — the rite in which the faithful ritually consume bread and wine blessed by a priest — is a central rite in the Catholic Church.

Pelosi: ‘Each Generation Inherits a Sacred Obligation to Care for The Glory of God’s Creation’.... BUT THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE INNOCENT UNBORN!

(CNSNews.com) - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) put out a statement on Friday in honor of Earth Day and reminded Americans that “each generation inherits a sacred obligation to care for the glory of God’s creation.”

“Now, President Biden and Congressional Democrats are carrying on that proud tradition as we pursue a bold and essential environmental agenda,” she said.

“For more than half a century, Earth Day has offered an opportunity to recognize the beauty and fragility of our natural environment,” said Pelosi.

“Each generation inherits a sacred obligation to care for the glory of God’s creation—and throughout our history, Americans have come together in service of that responsibility: whether protecting our nation’s natural wonders through the National Park System or preserving clean air to breathe and clean water to drink through the Environmental Protection Agency,” she said.

“At last year’s United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, the world came together to set visionary new goals for our collective fight against the climate crisis.  Shortly after, House Democrats proudly passed landmark legislation to deliver the largest-ever federal climate investment, lower families’ energy costs and build a stronger, more sustainable economy.  Now more than ever, we see the urgency and necessity of achieving energy independence through a clean energy future.  Democrats will not relent until we realize President Biden’s ambitious vision of slashing carbon pollution in half by 2030 and achieving a carbon neutral economy by 2050.  With our Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the Congress took further action to advance environmental justice for all — delivering historic funding to help get the lead out of our children’s drinking water, expand sustainable transportation and clean up legacy pollution disproportionately harming communities of color.

“Americans born today will live to see the next century, and the decisions we make now will determine whether they inherit a clean, healthy planet.  This Earth Day, let us renew our resolve to secure for our children and grandchildren the bright future that they deserve.”

(CNSNews.com) - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) put out a statement on Monday honoring the late Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and calling on the nation to provide justice to children.

“On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, our nation comes together to celebrate one of our greatest heroes, whose fierce spirit and powerful voice forever altered the course of history,” said Pelosi.

“As Americans around the nation honor Dr. King’s extraordinary life and legacy today, we continue to draw inspiration from his unshakable faith, unimaginable courage and unwavering vision of justice and peace,” she said.

“Nearly 60 years ago at the March on Washington, Dr. King declared: ‘Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. … Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God's children,’” said Pelosi.

“Let us heed those immortal words by strengthening our democracy and securing the blessings of liberty for every American,” she said. “Indeed, we must not rest until we finally achieve racial justice, social justice, economic justice and environmental justice for all of our children.”

Here is the full text of the statement that Speaker Pelosi put out to honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day:

Speaker Nancy Pelosi: “On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, our nation comes together to celebrate one of our greatest heroes, whose fierce spirit and powerful voice forever altered the course of history.  As Americans around the nation honor Dr. King’s extraordinary life and legacy today, we continue to draw inspiration from his unshakable faith, unimaginable courage and unwavering vision of justice and peace.

“While our nation has forged important progress on the long road toward justice, a dangerous tide of voter restrictions targeting communities of color reminds us of the urgent work ahead needed to defend our democracy.  Last week, the House proudly passed the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act, which is essential to stopping voter suppression and election subversion, ending partisan gerrymandering, empowering the grassroots and curbing the influence of dark money.  If Senate Republicans block this legislation this week, they diminish our democracy at home and tarnish our example of freedom abroad.  But, they cannot and will not deter Democrats from the righteous fight for voting rights.

“Nearly 60 years ago at the March on Washington, Dr. King declared: ‘Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. … Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God's children.’  Let us heed those immortal words by strengthening our democracy and securing the blessings of liberty for every American.  Indeed, we must not rest until we finally achieve racial justice, social justice, economic justice and environmental justice for all of our children.  And may we always strive to build a future worthy of Dr. King’s glorious vision.”

Facebook Tells Employees to Stop Discussing Abortion at Work

A Facebook executive reportedly told employees recently that they are prohibited from discussing abortion on Workplace, Facebook’s internal work chat platform.

The Verge reports that an executive for Facebook (now known as Meta) warned employees this week that they are prohibited from talking about abortion on Workplace, an internal version of Facebook used for work discussion and collaboration. The executive said that the decision to ban abortion discussion was due to “an increased risk” that the company could be seen as a “hostile work environment.”

The policy was reportedly put in place in 2019 but not discussed until recently and prohibits employees from discussing “opinions or debates about abortion being right or wrong, availability or rights of abortion, and political, religious, and humanitarian views on the topic.” The rule is part of the company’s internal “Respectful Communication Policy.”

Some employees have reportedly called on upper management at Facebook to remove the policy following the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade arguing that the ban goes against the rights of employees to talk “respectfully” about issues such as Black Lives Matter, immigration, and transgender rights.

Meta’s VP of HR, Janelle Gale, told employees during an all-hands meeting this week that abortion was “the most divisive and reported topic” by employees on Workplace. Gale stated that “even if people are respectful, and they’re attempting to be respectful about their view on abortion, it can still leave people feeling like they’re being targeted based on their gender or religion.”

Gale stated: “It’s the one unique topic that kind of trips that line on a protected class pretty much in every instance.”

Oklahoma lawmakers on Thursday passed a bill banning abortions after conception except in extreme cases, anticipating the overturning of Roe v. Wade next month.

House Bill 4327 would only allow abortions for instances of medical emergencies, rape, or incest. The bill would also permit private citizens to sue anyone who unlawfully terminates a pregnancy, echoing legislation passed last year in Texas.

The bill comes as Republican-led legislatures expect the Supreme Court to reverse the Roe ruling in June, sending the issue of abortion legalization back to the states.

Gov. Kevin Stitt (R., Okla.) said he will sign any pro-life bill that comes across his desk. State legislators passed a bill earlier this month that banned abortions after six weeks of pregnancy.

There are just four abortion clinics in Oklahoma.

Harris on Oklahoma Abortion Law: ‘Think About That For a Second: From the Moment of Fertilization’

(CNSNews.com) – The White House on Thursday condemned legislation approved by Oklahoma’s state legislature that would ban nearly all abortions, and Vice President Kamala Harris labeled as “outrageous” the fact that it seeks to protect unborn life from the point of fertilization.

“Just half an hour ago, in Oklahoma, the state legislature passed one of the most extreme abortion bans in the country – a ban that would outlaw abortion from the moment of fertilization,” Harris said during a virtual meeting on Thursday afternoon focused on the abortion issue.

“Now, think about that for a second: from the moment of fertilization,” she said. “It’s outrageous, and it’s just the latest in a series of extreme laws around the country.”

The bill, which received its final approval in a 73-16 House vote, prohibits abortion except in a case where the life of the mother is in danger and having an abortion “is necessary to preserve” her life, or if the pregnancy was the result of rape or incest that had been reported to authorities.

The text defines “unborn child” for the purposes of the prohibition on abortion as “a human fetus or embryo in any stage of gestation from fertilization until birth.”

It explicitly does not prohibit use of contraception or emergency contraception, including the so-called “morning-after pill.”

The measure also allows citizens to bring civil lawsuits against individuals who help a woman to procure an abortion – although not against the woman who sought or had the abortion herself.

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt has pledged to sign into law any pro-life legislation that reaches his desk. In March he signed a Texas-style bill banning abortion after six weeks of pregnancy, when a baby’s heartbeat can be detected.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, traveling with President Biden to Asia, issued a statement slamming the Oklahoma vote, calling it “the most extreme effort to undo these fundamental rights we have seen to date.”

“This is part of a growing effort by ultra MAGA officials across the country to roll back the freedoms we should not take for granted in this country,” she said. “They are starting with reproductive rights, but the American people need to know that other fundamental rights, including the right to contraception and marriage equality, are at risk.”

Jean-Pierre was echoing what has become a repeated talking-point for Biden since the leaking of a Supreme Court draft opinion which suggested that the court will overturn the 1973 decision that legalized abortion.

Biden has characterized the potential overturning of Roe v. Wade as just part of a looming broader assault on a number of “rights” and “freedoms” won in past court decisions, including those that legalized same-sex marriage and allowed married couples to buy and use contraceptives without government restriction.

Harris in her remarks covered some of the same ground.

“The right to privacy that forms the basis of Roe is the same right to privacy that protects the right to use contraception and the right to marry the person you love, including a person of the same sex,” she told the virtual “meeting on reproductive rights.”

“Overturning Roe opens the door to restricting those rights,” Harris said. “It would be a direct assault on the fundamental right to self-determination, to live and love without interference from the government. At its core, this is about our future as a nation, about whether we live in a country where the government can interfere in personal decisions.”

In the leaked draft opinion, Justice Samuel Alito wrote, “Nothing in this opinion should be understood to cast doubt on precedents that do not concern abortion.”

According to the Guttmacher Institute, 26 states are “certain or likely” to outlaw abortion if Roe v. Wade is overturned or “fundamentally weakened.”

Double Jeopardy: Princeton Prepares To Axe Star Professor Who Raised Hell Over Woke Lunacy

Ivy League school leans on second investigation into Joshua Katz’s decade-old consensual relationship with a student

Princeton University is planning to fire one of the most distinguished classics professors in the country, Joshua Katz, after his criticism of the school’s racial politics made him the target of student protests and the subject of two separate university investigations.

University president Christopher Eisgruber—who in 2020 alleged that Katz had failed to exercise his free speech "responsibly"—passed his recommendation that Katz be stripped of tenure and fired to the university’s board of trustees last week, according to three sources with firsthand knowledge of the situation.

It is rare for a university to fire a tenured professor, and even rarer for a university to fire a professor with Katz’s record: By the university’s own admission, he did not commit fraud or sexual misconduct, two of the most common grounds for revoking tenure. Rather, the university is citing as grounds for dismissal a consensual relationship Katz engaged in with a student more than a decade ago, and for which he was already disciplined by the school in 2018.

The board is all but guaranteed to accept Eisgruber’s recommendation when it meets on Wednesday, the sources said. Board members include Yale Law School dean Heather Gerken, who has presided over several high-profile free speech-related scandals on her campus, including the intimidation of a second-year law student by university administrators.

Princeton University did not respond to a request for comment.

Katz’s dismissal is likely to spark a heated debate about the real reasons for his ouster.

The Ivy League classicist has been the subject of two separate investigations over the past two years, in part because he has been a vocal critic of the argument—advanced by Eisgruber and others—that Princeton is a systemically racist institution. The university had settled the matter of his relationship in 2018—with Katz taking a year’s unpaid leave as a suspension—but decided to investigate it again in the wake of his controversial remarks, leading to speculation the events are linked.

Katz is perhaps the campus’s most outspoken critic of the school’s backbreaking political correctness, including calls from faculty members to award their minority colleagues extra sabbatical time, "course relief," and "summer salary." His criticism has been frank and unsparing: "It boggles my mind that anyone would advocate giving people—extraordinarily privileged people already, let me point out: Princeton professors—extra perks for no reason other than their pigmentation," he wrote in July 2020 in an essay for Quillette. Eisgruber responded in the Daily Princetonian, saying that he objected "personally and strongly" to Katz’s statements.

"While free speech permits students and faculty to make arguments that are bold, provocative, or even offensive," Eisgruber said, "we all have an obligation to exercise that right responsibly. Joshua Katz has failed to do so."

It initially seemed like Katz would weather the blowback. On July 26, 2020, he wrote in the Wall Street Journal that he had "survived cancellation" after the university dropped an investigation into the Quillette essay, which characterized a Princeton student group as a "local terrorist organization." That characterization came amid criticism of an open letter, signed by hundreds of Princeton faculty, that claimed "anti-Blackness is foundational to America" and demanded the university "acknowledge, credit, and incentivize anti-racist student activism."

Katz was describing Princeton’s Black Justice League, which in 2015 occupied Eisgruber’s office and demanded "cultural competency training for all staff and faculty." The group "made life miserable for many (including the many black students) who did not agree with its members' demands," Katz wrote.

Michael Flower, the chair of the classics department—as well as Eisgruber himself—subsequently denounced the essay. Katz’s "false description of a Princeton student group," Eisgruber said, "unfairly disparaged" Princeton students.

The university announced on July 12, 2020, it would "be looking into the matter," but informed Katz later that month that it had dropped its investigation, according to the Wall Street Journal op-ed.

Though the university did not formally sanction Katz, it did include him on a list of racists—such as the notorious segregationist Woodrow Wilson—who have marred Princeton’s legacy, which was published on a university website and presented at a mandatory orientation session for freshmen in August.

The second investigation, conducted by the dean of the Office of Faculty, sealed Katz’s fate. In February 2021, the Daily Princetonian reported that Katz had engaged in a consensual relationship with an undergraduate student in the mid-2000s, violating the university’s ban on student-faculty relations.

The university had already adjudicated the violation confidentially, quietly disciplining Katz with a yearlong suspension after a separate investigation in 2018. Katz, who was in his 30s at the time of the tryst, admitted it was inappropriate and accepted the suspension without protest.

But when the liaison became public through the Daily Princetonian’s report, Princeton launched a second investigation, telling Katz that certain details in the article "remain uninvestigated and unaddressed." Under pressure from students, the school tasked two separate bureaucracies—the Office of the Dean of Faculty and the Office of Gender Equity and Title IX Administration—with investigating the tryst. Though the former undergraduate declined to participate in the 2018 investigation, she did participate in the 2021 inquiry, alleging not just impropriety but sexual harassment.

Her allegations came as campus activists were demanding the university fire Katz. His "continued presence in the classroom," a petition in the Daily Princetonian read, "actively puts students in harm’s way."

But the Title IX office found that Katz hadn’t violated the school’s harassment policies. "Conduct must, among other things, be ‘unwelcome’ in order to constitute sexual harassment," Michele Minter, Princeton’s Title IX coordinator, said in a report reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. But both Katz and his student "were willing and active participants" in the relationship.

"Accordingly," Miller said, "I am dismissing the formal complaint with respect to sexual harassment."

But the Office of the Dean of Faculty found other violations. It claimed that Katz hadn’t been fully forthcoming in the 2018 investigation and that he’d discouraged the undergraduate from receiving therapy—a charge Katz repeatedly denied.

In November 2021, Princeton dean of faculty Gene Jarrett recommended the school fire Katz, according to documents obtained by the Free Beacon. Katz appealed the decision, alleging that the investigation was effectively a "retrial" of the 2018 investigation.

"I was already punished—and rightly so," Katz wrote in his appeal. With the new inquiry, "I am being subject to double jeopardy," a classic due process violation.

The appeal went nowhere. Katz was informed last week that Eisgruber recommended his dismissal.

Abortion and Wokeness

Looking back on the Roe v. Wade era.

Bruce Bawer is a Shillman Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center.

October 1974 was the month I turned 18. It was also the date on the issue of The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction containing Philip K. Dick’s unforgettable short story “The Pre-Persons.” An avid subscriber to F&SF, I’d spent much of my teens devouring science fiction, including such classics as Arthur C.Clarke’s “The Star,” and the moment I finished reading “The Pre-Persons” I knew that this powerful story, with its deeply disturbing message, would also would become a classic.

In 1973, the Supreme Court had ruled, in Roe v. Wade, that women possessed a fundamental right to an abortion. During the preceding years, many states had rolled back restrictions on the procedure, giving America some of the most liberal laws in the world in regard to the termination of pregnancy. In the wake of Roe v. Wade, which took things to a new level, “The Pre-Persons” imagined an America of the not-so-distant future in which, the Supreme Court’s logic having been taken just a bit further, children under twelve are considered “pre-persons” and can therefore, upon their parents’ request, be picked up by the “abortion truck” and euthanized.

At the beginning of the story, a twelve-year-old boy named Walter sees the “abortion truck” in his neighborhood and freaks out - only to be mocked by his mother, Cynthia, who reminds him that he’s too old to be aborted. Later, we learn that she longs to get pregnant so that she can get an abortion. "Wouldn't that be neat?” she asks her husband, Ian. “Doesn't that turn you on?...it's the in thing now, to have an abortion." Suddenly, Ian realizes what he’s married to. And when Walter comes to him for the comfort he didn’t get from Cynthia, Ian explains to him: “It's a certain kind of woman advocating this all. They used to call them 'castrating females.' Maybe that was once the right term, except that these women, these hard cold women, didn't just want to - well, they want to do in the whole boy or man, make all of them dead, not just the part that makes him a man. Do you see?"

At the time I read the story, I was pro-life. During his years as a hospital physician, my father had been obliged to perform abortions involving deformed fetuses and mothers at risk, but he hated abortion, and when I was young he described the procedure to me in all its graphic horror to ensure that I wouldn’t have any pretty liberal illusions about it. At the time I read “The Pre-Persons” I’d just started college, and not long afterwards, at a dormitory meeting that drew about a hundred students, the topic of abortion came up. When somebody asked for opponents of abortion to identify themselves, mine was the only hand to go up.

In the ensuing decade or so, I developed close friendships with several women and was surprised to learn that every last one of them had her own abortion story. They told me the details, which were uniformly harrowing. For each of these women, having an abortion had been an unforgettable trauma. I couldn’t blame any of them for the decisions they’d made. For a while, then, I was pro-choice. At the time, the pro-choice line was that abortion is always a solution of last resort that takes a devastating psychological toll on a woman. Bill Clinton, every woman’s friend, famously said in 1992 that abortion should be “safe, legal, and rare.” For a long time, pro-choice advocates parroted him religiously.

But some more years went by, and the stigma of abortion disappeared almost entirely. I saw women having serial abortions, taking them very lightly indeed, and using them as birth control. Abortions began to be described routinely as “health care” - a reprehensible whitewash. Again, my views shifted. And as even more years went by, pro-choice rhetoric - already a patchwork of euphemism and equivocation, not to mention an utter denial of basic biology - moved ever further from reality and responsibility. The very term “pro-choice,” of course, is a dodge; a few days ago, amusingly, the House Pro-Choice Caucus made headlines (and won jeers) by suggesting that it’s time to retire the word “choice” - not because it’s a dodge, but because it’s not enough of a dodge. (As Planned Parenthood explained, some women just don’t have a choice.)

As for “safe, legal, and rare,” it disappeared some time ago into the mists of history. To say that abortion should be rare, noted Atlantic staffer Caitlin Flanagan in a 2019 article, implies that there’s something wrong with it - and these days the mere suggestion that there’s anything at all wrong with abortion is deeply offensive to, well, a certain kind of woman. “Today’s young feminists,” wrote Flanagan, “are determined to rid abortion of any lingering stigma, including the stigmatizing notion that it should be rare. They share their stories publicly and take part in a culture in which abortion is recognized and celebrated in stand-up comedy, television shows, movies.”

Case in point: actress Lena Dunham, star of the HBO series Girls, who was asked on a 2016 podcast to recount “her own abortion story.” She didn’t have one, poor thing. And she later explained that when the question came up, she perceived that she “was carrying within myself stigma around this issue….I had internalized some of what society was throwing at us….Now I can say that I still haven’t had an abortion, but I wish I had.” In the same year, comedienne Natasha Leggero, who’d recently converted from Catholicism to Judaism, told Conan O’Brien in an interview that one of the pluses of being a Jew is that “abortions are cool.” She added: “I’m not saying I’m going to get an abortion, but it’s like AAA [The American Automobile Association]. You’re not going to use all those tows, but no, it’s just nice to know.”

The dictionary tells us that a woman is “an adult female person” and that a female, in turn, is “an individual that bears young.” Most women used to embrace their natural biological role. Whatever else a woman might do with her life, being a mother - for those who chose to become mothers - was viewed as the very essence of womanhood. It was the one thing women could do that men couldn’t. (This was before the era of “birthing persons.”) Even women who believed in a right to abortion under certain circumstances didn’t try to sidestep the fact that it amounted to the killing of a baby - an act that, they knew very well, should never be trivialized. Today’s woke mentality is utterly different. Woke women identify womanhood less with giving birth than with its exact opposite - with the absolute, inalienable right to have a baby vacuumed out of your womb, on command, at any point whatsoever during a pregnancy. The pride in one’s ability to bear a child has been widely replaced by a pride in one’s ability to kill it.

When it comes to the nuts and bolts details of abortion - the inconvenient truths, as it were -  woke women manage to embrace the most extraordinary fictions. Feminist columnist Katha Pollitt doesn’t just deny that a fetus being killed is a human being; she considers such a contention intolerably offensive: “fetal personhood,” she says, “is maternal punishment.” (True enough, I guess, if a woman has pangs of conscience over having murdered her child.) Ethics professor Rebecca Gordon (who says that “choosing not to bring another resource-devouring, fossil-fuel-burning, carbon-dioxide-emitting American into the world might actually have been the most unselfish thing I’ve ever done”) dismisses “fetal heartbeat” - a thoroughly real phenomenon - as a term disingenuously applied by fanatical pro-lifers to “the throbbing of a millimeters-long collection of cells.” (Perhaps the silver lining to the cloud of Gordon’s abortion is that she’d obviously have been a horrible mother.)

A recent Facebook comment by a doctor named Rochelle Pudlowski Eissenstat provides an interesting contrast to the likes of Pollitt and Gordon. Eissenstat recalls that when she was a medical student she assisted at abortions. “Do you know what it feels like,” she asks, “to examine the little fragments of recognizable though tiny human beings[?] Hmmm, I see one femur here; but where’s the other one? These were first trimester abortions only back then. We had to make sure that no remnant was left in the uterus! AH, here’s the other part of the head! This was absolutely nightmarish.” In response, another woman on that Facebook threat told Eissenstat to “[s]top peddling this nonsense.” Alas, “deny, deny, deny” is the pro-choice mantra: if pro-choicers didn’t reflexively dismiss as “nonsense” the gruesome, candid testimony of people like Eissenstat, they probably wouldn’t be able to live with themselves.

Back in the days when more people went to church and took its rituals seriously, the baptism of one’s newborn child was a special moment. For many woke women today, the sacred aura that once surrounded baptism envelops abortion, and preserving one’s absolute right to an abortion - at any time, in any place - is as important, as precious, as having access to the sacraments is for a devout Christian. People used to tell anxious expectant mothers that having a baby was “the most natural thing in the world”; now, in the words of the “Shout Your Abortion” network, posted recently at the Nation website, “Abortion is normal. Our stories are ours to tell. This is not a debate.” (No, none of the left’s pet prevarications - whether about racism, say, or about gender identity - is ever up for debate, because if you confront these fantasies with facts, instead of assenting to them meekly, they’ll evaporate.)

Before Roe v. Wade, even states that permitted abortion restricted it after the second trimester. Ever since Roe v. Wade, it’s been a fundamental tenet of American leftist orthodoxy that perfect justice would require nothing short of universal, unlimited abortion rights on demand. By this logic, every restriction placed on abortion - however minimal by historical or international standards, and however reasonable and just when the fetus’s natural rights are taken into account - is perceived as sheer evil. What pro-choicers rarely acknowledge is that American abortion laws are, on average, considerably more liberal than those almost everywhere else on earth - a fact that won’t change appreciably after the Supreme Court decision takes effect.

Leftists love to compare America unfavorably with Europe. But In most of Europe, abortion is legal on request only during the first trimester. In Britain, it’s only permitted if necessary to save the mother’s life, prevent injury to her - or her children’s - health, or prevent the birth of a child with serious birth defects. (On May 10, the U.S.-based Guardian columnist Arwa Mahdawi ranted that American women’s civil rights were being wiped out - even though abortion laws in the U.S. will still be far more liberal than those in the U.K.) Seventeen European countries, including Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy, require waiting periods for women seeking abortions; in those three countries and several others, such women must undergo counseling. And in Andorra, Malta, and San Marino, abortion is illegal, period.

By contrast, in 19 U.S. states abortion is permitted up to the point of viability, while in Oregon, Vermont, New Jersey, Colorado, New Mexico, and Alaska, an abortion may be performed right up to the moment when a baby is about to be born. (The only European countries with comparable laws are Sweden and the Netherlands.) It’s been pointed out that some of these American laws would presumably allow a doctor to deliver a live baby and then let it die. Recall Virginia governor Ralph Northam’s enthusiastic promotion of a 2019 bill that would’ve permitted just that: “If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”

Why all the rage, then, over the incipient and effectively all but meaningless overturning of Roe v. Wade? Because that Supreme Court decision has become a symbolic landmark in the history of the women’s rights movement, and a litmus test for leftism. Since half a century of euphemism and evasion has obscured the harsh reality of baby-killing, the issue can sometimes seem to have nothing at all to do with speculums and dilators and suction machines; like many other first-order left-wing dogmas - for example, the claims that whites are all oppressive racists and that a man becomes woman the moment he says he’s one - the sanctity of abortion rights seems oddly abstract, untethered from everyday reality. Which explains, I guess, how “reproductive justice advocate” Renee Bracey Sherman can say with a straight face that a “commitment to women’s abortion rights” is “profoundly life affirming.” Could anything be further from the truth, or from simple morality?

Blacks make up slightly less than 13% of the American population – a percentage that’s diminishing daily as the Biden administration floods the country with illegal aliens from Latin America. However, Blacks are also doing their bit to keep their presence in American relatively small: They’re aborting their babies in extraordinary numbers. CNS News caught up with CDC statistics for 2018, based on data from only 31 reporting areas. They show that 117,626 Black children were aborted – or 33.6% of all reported 2018 abortions.

It is the handmaidens working for Planned Parenthood who have joked about selling aborted baby body parts.  And it was Kamala Harris, when she was A.G. of California, who viciously prosecuted the young man who exposed that scandal, after she had received a hefty donation from Planned Parenthood.

White House Still Cannot Explain Why ‘Devout Catholic’ Joe Biden Supports Abortion

President Biden Claims Killing an Unborn Baby Who Has a Beating Heart is a ‘Private and Personal’ Decision

(CNS News) -- After a Catholic deacon in Texas tweeted a post stating that "Joe Biden is a heretic" and an "apostate," the Catholic bishop of Tyler, Texas, Joseph Strickland,  retweeted the item and entitled it "Time for truth..."

Dr. Leah Torres, an OB/GYN in Salt Lake City, Utah, said that when she performs certain abortions she cuts the vocal cord of the baby so "there's really no opportunity" for the child to scream.

Senate Democrats vote for unfettered abortion

Senate Democrats recently voted in favor of a bill that would legalize abortion — nationwide — for all nine months of pregnancy.  That's right — up to the very moment of birth, if necessary.  The "Women's Health Protection Act" received support from 49 of the 50 non-Republicans in the Senate, though it ultimately failed.  The bill would have given health care providers the "right" to provide "abortion services" with very few requirements or limitations.

In fact, according to the WHPA's text, health care providers would have been given the green light to commit abortions without "a prohibition on abortion at any point or points in time prior to fetal viability" or "a requirement that a patient seeking abortion services at any point or points in time prior to fetal viability disclose the patient's reason or reasons for seeking abortion services."  No valid reason?  No problem!  No inhibitions, no prohibitions.

The measure would have removed protections for religious liberties, thereby going against the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which would have been unprecedented, as pro-abortion Maine Republican Susan Collins's office noted in a statement saying, "Congress has never before adopted legislation that contains an exemption to this religious liberty law."

What Collins's office fails to realize is that Democrats don't care about the religious liberty of others.  They despise both religion and liberty, as practiced and enjoyed by those with traditional values.  Moreover, their religion — the one true religion, mind you — holds baby-killing to be a sacrament.  Abortion trumps baptism.  And renders it unnecessary.

Nine-month-old fetus, post-birth.

So why limit abortion to the roughly nine months of pregnancy?  Or even to the few short hours after birth?  Why not permit "after-birth abortions" for a week, month, or year after a fetus has exited a birthing person's womb?  Or a decade...or more?  What a great defense this could provide for a person on trial for murder!  "May it please the jury, I would just solemnly state that I did not murder those three people; I was just exercising my right to after-birth abortions."

Given Democrats' concurrent desire to lower the voting age, I fully expect them to soon realize that they could combine the two issues in an effort to further solidify their power.  They could raise the age of legal (after-birth) abortions to coincide with a new legal age to vote.  A "twofer," as it were!

It would be a progressive Democrat's dream if they could abort children until they were, say, 9 years old, at which time they would be legally allowed to vote for them.

Only a racist, sexist, knuckle-dragging, ultra-MAGA bigot could be opposed to that, they would shout.

Democrats' policies are killing the economy; strangling free speech; obliterating life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for countless millions; and extinguishing hope.  They are pregnant with malice and evil.

And they must be aborted.

The tax documents as seen by numerous media outlets reveal BLM paid a company owned by Damon Turner, the father of Cullors’ child, nearly $970,000 to help “produce live events” and provide other “creative services.”

The facts that have emerged demonstrate that Black Lives Matter is largely a creation of the corporate media and the Democratic Party, not a genuine expression of insurgent popular opposition to the pervasive brutality and social inequality of American society. The revelations illustrate the venal and privileged social layers whose interests are expressed by the elevation of race, rather than class, as the essential dividing line in society.

Allegations of financial mismanagement among supposed leaders of the Black Lives Matter movement (BLM)—as well as questions surrounding the true character of the organization—continue to unfold following a recent New York Magazine report revealing the group purchased a $6 million luxury home in southern California with money that had been donated to the BLMGNF (Black Lives Matter Global Network Fund, the official title of the only actual national organization).

It's been almost two years since the summer of violent Black Lives Matter insurrections and cop-hating crusades.  The actions of that summer inflicted $2 billion in property damage in 220 American cities, killed scores of people, and spiked record homicide rates in a dozen municipalities run by Democrat politicians and supporters.  This unprecedented eruption of hatred and violence was fueled by a racial hoax claiming that there was an "open season" on black lives, despite the fact that there is no evidence to support this claim, whether statistical or circumstantial.

Democrats Don't Give a Damn About This BLM: 'Babies' Lives Matter'

Who is coming up with the Left's ideas? Lucifer?

Insanity. Everything President Joe Biden and his radical, treasonous, communist cabal does is pure insanity. But nothing is stranger than the Democrats' obsession with and hatred for children — whether it be murder in the womb, or much later.

I'm not just talking about their obsession with allowing abortion up until birth. This is a clear mixture of insanity and desire for the mass murder of living, breathing babies.

But give Democrats an inch, and they always want a mile.

Now these same Democrats are going after perfectly healthy babies, months or even a year after birth. Because of a harsh nationwide baby formula shortage, babies could starve to death, or certainly face diminished lives because of damaged immune systems.

But Biden and Democrats are clearly too busy and distracted from destroying the economy; killing the entire energy industry; whipping up hyperinflation to destroy the middle class; sending $40 billion of taxpayer money to Ukraine (which I believe is the most corrupt nation on earth); trying their best to start a nuclear WWIII with Russia; making sure every violent criminal is released without bail; opening up the border to every disease- and poverty-stricken person in the world; brainwashing kindergartners to hate white people and question their sexual identity; asking the Justice Department and FBI to persecute and prosecute parents at PTA meetings; and of course, allowing violent, illegal protests at the homes of conservative Supreme Court judges — knowing full well that one of these days a judge or their family may be murdered by an obsessed, abortion-crazed Democrat protester.

All of this obviously takes precedence for Biden and Democrats over something as unimportant as feeding babies.

Biden knew we were going to face a baby formula shortage. It was his Food and Drug Administration that shut down the biggest baby formula plant in America. The Biden administration knew what was coming. Biden did nothing. He warned no one. And to this moment, he has no plan.

Except to make sure there's plenty of baby formula for the babies of noncitizen migrants. Biden and his radical Marxist cabal have prioritized refugee babies over American-born babies. Have you seen the pallets of baby formula at border facilities, while shelves at supermarkets in Texas are bare?

But why would anyone be surprised at Democrats' twisted views about American children? Listen to the wild, radical, insane statements of Democrats in just the past week relating to their joy about and obsession with child murder...

First, our U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen made the statement that banning abortion would "hurt the economy." The treasury secretary of the United States is insane.

Then Democrat Rep. Katie Porter said hyperinflation reinforces the need for abortion. A congresswoman was essentially saying that since Biden policies have made gas and groceries unaffordable, American women must have the option to murder their babies.

Finally, we heard about "the piece de resistance:" ABORTION TOURISM.

Yes, California Democrats are trying to "make abortion fun again." California legislators are poised to pass a bill that would pay pregnant women from anywhere in America to vacation in California, hit the beach, get a nice tan, drink a mimosa — and then murder their baby. What a vacation experience.

I'm surprised they're not setting up abortion clinics at Disneyland next to the roller-coaster.

Democrats are stark raving mad and pure evil. Who is coming up with these ideas? Lucifer?

Biden and his radical, treasonous, communist cabal have an obsession with killing babies. Tragically, it now extends to the living variety.

Except, of course, for refugee babies whose parents have illegally invaded our border. Those babies have "Democrat privilege." After all, in only 18 years they'll all be Democrat voters.

And obviously, if doctors could determine if a baby was born transgender, or gender-fluid, or gender binary, or gender neutral or gender expansive, Biden and his communist cabal would spare them too.

Democrats clearly see migrants and transgender people as the future of America.

We are living in insane times. Democrats' attempts to open the borders, kill our energy independence, spread violent crime to every big city and kill the economy are pretty darn insane.

But nothing compares to their bloodlust for hurting or killing innocent children. Democrats clearly don't give a damn about this BLM: "BABIES' LIVES MATTER."
