Even Record Gains in Worker Pay Fall Behind Soaring Costs of Living

Worker pay and benefits rose at a record pace in the second quarter—but even that was not enough to prevent American workers from losing ground to inflation.

The employment-cost index, a gauge of wages and benefits for civilian workers, jumped a seasonally adjusted 1.3 percent in the quarter, the Labor Department said Friday. That was close to the 1.4 percent gain in the first quarter, the biggest increase in records going back to the turn of the century.

Employers spent 5.1 percent more on benefits and wages in the second quarter compared with the April through June period a year ago. That is the biggest ever year-0ver-year gain in employment costs.

Inflation, however, has been running even hotter, pushing prices up faster than record gains in salaries and wages. Adjusted for inflation, compensation is down 3.6 percent compared with the period a year earlier.

Private sector compensation costs were up 1.5 percent in the second quarter, including a 1.6 percent gain in wages and salaries and 1.3 gain in benefits. Annually, private sector compensation costs rose 5.5 percent, with a 5.7 percent gain in wages and salaries and a 5.3 percent rise in benefits costs. After inflation, however, total costs fell 3.3 percent, with a 3.1 percent drop in wages and salaries and a 3.5 percent drop in benefits.

The ongoing rise in compensation costs, especially wages and salaries, are likely to contribute to inflation in the months ahead. Businesses will attempt to pass on higher labor costs to customers and the rise in pay gives workers more money to spend, pushing up demand. This wage-price spiral is contributing to depressed consumer sentiment and dissatisfaction with economic conditions.

Separately, the Commerce Department on Friday reported that the personal consumption expenditures price index—a key measure of inflation closely tracked by officials at the Federal Reserve—rose one percent in June compared with the prior month, the biggest gain since 1981. Annually, the PCE prices are up 6.8 percent, the most since January 1982.

Breitbart Business Digest: Biden’s Incredible Shrinking Economy

President Joe Biden speaks in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington, D.C., US, on Thursday, July 28, 2022. The drumbeat of recession grew louder after the US economy shrank for a second straight quarter, as decades-high inflation undercut consumer spending and Federal Reserve interest-rate hikes stymied businesses and housing. …

Gross domestic product shrank again last quarter, confirming the widespread impression that the economy is lousy.

The Commerce Department on Thursday reported that economic output contracted at a 0.9 percent annual rate in the April through June period, which followed the 1.6 percent decline in the first three months of the year. As everyone now knows, that fits the bill for a common definition of a recession even if the official declaration from the National Bureau of Economic Research has not yet been made.

Friday will bring the final read on consumer sentiment. The expectation is for the University of Michigan gauge to remain unchanged from the deeply depressed level recorded at mid-month. It may even show some improvement since gasoline prices have stayed low. Perhaps the most important part of the report will be on inflation expectations. Has Fed Chair Jerome Powell convinced the public that he really will bring inflation all the way down to two percent in the foreseeable future? If not, the Fed may decide it needs a bigger hike than the 25-basis points markets are expecting in September.

A big driving force in the contraction was businesses reducing the pace of inventory accumulation. This was enough to subtract two percentage points from GDP. And as massive retailers such as Walmart have made clear, it’s likely that this will continue to be a drag on the economy in the third quarter and perhaps even into the fourth, which means the economy is likely to continue to contract for the rest of year.

The contraction would have been even more severe if consumer spending had not kept growing in the quarter. Yet this source of strength for the economy softened in the spring—meaning the pace of spending growth slowed—and recent information indicates that it may be rolling over as consumers face higher interest rates and inflation exhaustion. Final sales to private domestic purchasers—regarded by many economists as a barometer of underlying demand—had grown three percent in the first quarter. In the second quarter, it did not grow at all. The third quarter may see final sales actually retreat—especially if the Fed keeps hiking interest rates—which would mean an even sharper downturn for GDP.

This is all the more remarkable because inflation accelerated in the second quarter, with June prices up 9.1 percent compared with a year ago. According to economic theory, inflation is supposed to be a sign of an economy overheating. We have inflation in an economy that is at stall speed. There’s no official arbiter of when we enter into a period of stagflation, but it is safe to say that’s what we experienced in the first half of 2022.

Prosecutor: DNA Test Proves Illegal Alien Raped, Impregnated 10-Year-Old Girl Who Sought Abortion

A DNA test proves that an illegal alien raped and impregnated a ten-year-old girl in Columbus, Ohio, according to prosecutors. The case was cited by President Joe Biden after the girl sought an abortion in Indianapolis, Indiana.

As Breitbart News has chronicled, 27-year-old illegal alien Gerson Fuentes was arrested and charged this month with raping the girl who then became pregnant. The case was cited by Biden — after the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade — because the girl traveled to undergo an abortion on June 30 at six weeks pregnant.

Following his arrest and the abortion, Franklin County prosecutors ordered DNA tests to be run on tissue from the aborted child to determine if Fuentes was in fact the father. On Thursday, prosecutor Dan Meyer said those tests confirmed that Fuentes raped and impregnated the girl.

As a result, Fuentes was denied bail and will be held in prison ahead of trial. Earlier this week, Fuentes pleaded not guilty.

The girl’s mother, who is reportedly pregnant with Fuentes’s child, has twice defended him against her daughter’s rape allegations. In interviews with Telemundo, the girl’s mother said that “everything that they’re saying against him is a lie.”

Fuentes has been able to live in the United States for at least seven years, working at a cafe despite his illegal alien status. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency told Breitbart News that they had not previously encountered Fuentes until his arrest for allegedly raping the girl.

ICE agents have placed a detainer on him so that if he is released from local custody at any time, he will be turned over to their custody for arrest and deportation.

Republican State Leadership Committee Launches First Spanish Ad in Battleground States

Republican State Leadership Committee

The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) launched its first Spanish language ad backed by a five-figure buy airing on digital platforms in five battleground states.

The RSLC ad will run in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, and Texas, all targets the committee sees as an “opportunity to flip” or retain a Republican majority in the state legislatures.

“Democrats don’t take us seriously,” the ad’s narrator says in Spanish, according to an English transcript of the ad.

The ad then shows a clip of first lady Jill Biden butchering the pronunciation of “si se puede.”

The narrator then calls out the Democrats for “pandering,” and implementing policies that make it “harder for all Americans to thrive.”

The narrator continues:

They take us for granted. Democrats are great at pandering but not governing. And their policies are making it harder for all Americans to thrive. Good jobs, affordable gas and groceries, and a great education. These things don’t exist under Democrats’ one-party rule. Republicans believe that success lies in the freedom to prosper – because it does – and Republican policies will move us forward.

In a statement following the ad’s release, RSLC president Dee Duncan blasted the Democrats for thinking “they deserve automatic loyalty from Hispanic voters at the ballot box regardless of the harm their destructive agenda is doing to the country.”

“Hispanic voters want good paying jobs, affordable goods, safe communities, and a quality education for their children, and the RSLC will keep deploying innovative voter contact tactics like this to remind them that those are all products of Republican leadership in the states,” Duncan continued.

The RSLC’s first Spanish language ad comes after the committee successfully supported Republican John Luhan in flipping the heavily Hispanic Texas house district 118 in a November 2021 special election.

In comparison, the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) just launched a pair of cringeworthy ads targeted at Hispanics that paint Republicans as “extremists” who are “only working for rich people.”

Further, the DCCC admits that Democrats are “out of touch” with voters in one of the ads.

Democrats have been losing their grip on Hispanic voters, according to recent elections and the latest polls.

For example, Republican Rep. Mayra Flores (R-TX) recently flipped a historically blue seat for the Republicans in a special election held last month.

Additionally, A recent Quinnipiac poll found that just 19 percent of Hispanics approve of President Joe Biden’s job performance. The survey also found that more Hispanics would rather see Republicans control both chambers of Congress over Democrats.

The Quinnipiac poll was released one week after first lady Biden asserted that the Hispanic community is “as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio.”

‘Democrats Seem So Out of Touch’: Dems Launch Cringeworthy Ads Targeting Hispanics, Admit Party Weakness

The Democrats have launched two cringeworthy ads targeting Hispanic voters as the party continues to lose favor with that once trusted demographic.

Slated to air in Texas and three other states, the DCCC, the official campaign arm of the Democrats in the House of Representatives, ads openly admit that Democrats are “out of touch.”

The first ad features two Hispanic women speaking English as they talk about the many economic woes spurred by Democrat policies, even going so far as to admit the party has grown “out of touch” and should be voted only as a default against Republican extremism. Transcript:

Woman 1: Ah, my back and neck hurts.

Woman 2: That’s because you’re working too much. You should slow down.

Woman 1: I can’t. I need to make more money. Look, with gas prices through the roof and my kids needing daycare, it’s not enough.

Woman 2: Don’t worry so much.

Woman 1: I’m just so stressed out and I don’t know what else to do.

Woman 2: What you could do is vote for Democrats. These Republican extremists have no plan to help us.

Woman 1: But Democrats seem so out of touch.

Woman 2: Not true. These MAGA Republicans are only working for rich people. Democrats know firsthand that even small price increases are hard on working families like ours. Democrats are finding solutions. Unlike the Republicans. What you could do is vote for Democrats.

The second ad features two Hispanic gentlemen speaking in their native tongue discussing throwing a cookout.

Man 1: Why did you organize this carnita asada [cookout], are you expecting another child?

Man 2: What other child or other anything, I want quality time with family, have a nice time and see the positive things coming for all of us?

Man 1: But don’t you see that the extremist Republicans are hitting us all over the place [literally: even hitting us under the tongue], and you’re here throwing a party?! But thanks for inviting me, I’m having a good time. And… what good things?

Man 2: Well the things that the Democrats have been doing and the plans they are making are going to get us out of the hole.

Man 1: Nahhhh… seriously?

Man 2: Yes! They already increased the number of jobs and have plans for the economy, to lower the cost of living, the rents, reduce medical costs, and many other things. That said, get ready and go out and vote!

Man 1: Well then, no wonder you threw a party! You even gave me good news like this! Hey… are you going to have any more kids? That’s what I thought the party was for…

The ads come after first lady Jill Biden sparked tremendous anger among Hispanics over her comparing such voters to “tacos” while speaking at the Latinx IncluXion Luncheon.

“Raul helped build this organization with the understanding that the diversity of this community – as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio – is your strength,” Biden said, speaking about UnidosUS founder Raul Yzaguirre.

GOP Leaders Quiet amid Weak Voter Support on Immigration Issues

President Joe Biden’s easy-migration border policy is very unpopular among the mushy middle — yet those voters are not committed to voting for the GOP in 2022, according to a survey by a GOP-tied firm, Echelon Insights.

Thirty-six percent of “pure independents” strongly prefer a policy of “increasing border security and enforcement,” while just 14 percent strongly prefer easier immigration rules, says the survey.

Moreover, another 29 percent of the pure independents “somewhat” prefer tighter border security, while only nine percent “somewhat” favor easier migration.

That lopsided 65 percent to 23 percent demand for tighter border rules among the independents is offset by the survey’s revelation that only 20 percent of those pure independents now have a favorable view of the GOP — even though 67 percent also disfavor Biden’s economic policies.

These “pure independents” comprise roughly 6 percent of registered voters, according to Echelon. So the gap between their strong opposition to Biden’s migration and economic policies — and their weak support for the GOP is an opportunity for the GOP to run up the election-night score in November 2022 if they also offer an economics-and-pocketbook pitch on migration.

“I’m waiting patiently for the [immigration policy] task force reports that I was promised — we’re now essentially August first of an election year and people will start voting here about 30 days,” said Mike McKenna, a political consultant in Virginia. He added:

The Republicans have yet to make a case why they’d make any difference [on immigration]. I don’t think [congressional Republicans and Democrats] are all the same, but if they’re going to vote the same, and if they’re going to talk the same, then yeah, normal people are going to conclude they’re the same and ask “What’s the point of voting?”

“The only way [for GOP candidates] to break out is to be different,” he said, adding that the party leaders are cautiously sitting on their apparent polling lead:

That’s not in the [GOP’s] current DNA right now. They’re just like, “You know what? We’re happy just hanging, around hoping for the best.” It’s crazy. It’s crazy, but that’s where we are.

So far, GOP leaders — including Rep. Kevin McCarthy (D-Calif) and Rep. Jim Jordan (D-OH) — do not even offer a clear set of immigration promises to tens of millions of mushy-middle voters.

The GOP leadership’s silence continues despite the delivery of a consensus plan developed in May by pro-American immigration reformers, and despite the advocacy of GOP modernizers, such as Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) and Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA).
On July 21, RollCall.com reported that GOP leaders are developing a campaign plan on border security: “This month, the House Republican Conference is poised to unveil plans for a future majority, developed by its American Security Task Force. Border security is expected to be a key component of that plan.” But prior evidence says the promised plan will be toothless.

Some GOP legislators want clear commitments for action.

“We ought to do something about it — and I’m not just talking about Democrats, [I’m] talking about Republicans,” Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) said at a July 26 event organized by the American First Policy Institute. Roy, who has been excluded from a leadership position by the GOP’s House leaders, continued:

It is not enough to sit and complain about it and talk about it. We need to do something about it. Don’t fund the DHS [Department of Homeland Security] that is not securing our border, don’t pass an NDA [National Defense Authorization Act] and say that Americans defended when we haven’t done crap to defend our border when we’re under assault every single day. And that’s what we need to do.

Yet the GOP leaders have not pushed a detailed plan for 2023, such as a promise to block open-border spending by Biden’s officials. And the GOP leaders have also avoided any pitch about the huge and growing pocketbook damage of migration into Americans’ jobs and housing.

Instead, the legislators focus GOP voters’ attention on the border drama — such as drugs, chaos, and possible terrorist migrants — without offering any firm commitments on the border, let alone any promise to reverse the pocketbook damage caused by migration.

“How many terrorists have come across our border? How many rapists? How many folks that mean to do us harm?,” asked Rep. Drew  Ferguson (R-GA), a deputy whip in the GOP, said at the July 25 press event at the border. “We stand committed to create change,” he added.

Many GOP candidates even say they want to fix the border so employers can legally import workers for jobs that would otherwise go to Americans or to American-built machinery.

“The thing I am most concerned with is a terrorist possibility of folks coming over, ” Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) said at the July 25 press event. “I’ve met with my farmers and ranchers two days ago, and they’re going ‘Tony, there’s thousands of [illegal migrant] people coming through our sector, but yet I can’t find [immigrant] workers to help in the fields.'”

The border chaos is making it difficult for Congress to expand the flow of legal migrants to employers, complained Rep. Tim Walberg (R-MI). “I know the farmers in Michigan that need workers, whether it is in the dairy industry or in the fields, would love to have a quicker process to get [immigrant] people,” he said at the event.

The same border-focused, don’t-mention-the pocketbook-damage theme is pushed by GOP Senators:

“This is a national security issue, this is a public health issue, this is a humanitarian issue,” said Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL), said at a  July 26 event organized by the swamp-adjacent group, the American First Policy Institute (AFPI).

Cammack is a member of the House’s homeland security committee. The committee’s membership is approved by GOP leaders, and it includes many business-backed, pro-migration legislators. They include Rep. John Katko (R-NY), Peter Meijer (R-MI), Carlos Gimenez (R-FL), Rep. Marienette Miller-Meeks, and Michael McCaul, (R-TX).

This bloc of pro-migration Republicans sits on the homeland security panel because GOP donors and investors strongly favor the continued extraction of foreign workers, consumers, and renters for use in the U.S. economy.

The House GOP’s main fund-raising group is the Congressional Leadership Fund. A recent report by Factcheck.org reported:

Major donors for the 2022 campaign cycle include Kenneth C. Griffin, Citadel founder and CEO, who has donated a little more than $18.5 million, and Patrick G. Ryan, founder, chairman and CEO of the Ryan Specialty Group, who has donated just over $10 million. American Action Network, CLF’s sister 501(c)(4), has contributed nearly $20 million.

The matching group for the GOP Senators is the Senate Leadership Fund.

In contrast to the vague proposals touted by GOP legislators at the donor-backed AFPI event, former President Donald Trump used the AFPI event to tout a list of detailed immigration policy promises. He urged, according to a Breitbart News report, that:

when the GOP takes a majority, they ensure no more funds are used to “implement Joe Biden’s Open Borders Agenda, and to force him to deport the illegal aliens that he is now refusing to deport.”

Moreover, he called on Republicans to immediately begin laying “the groundwork” to implement legitimate border security in September’s spending bill [for 2023].

… the next GOP president must reimplement “Remain in Mexico, our Safe Third agreements, asylum restrictions, enhanced rapid deportation initiatives, our surge of military resources, and much more,” adding that these should be “permanently installed.”

Moreover, he called for funding to bring about “the largest-ever increase in the number of new ICE officers” … [and said] historic personnel increases must be implemented to remove those who overstay their visas. Additionally, he outlined the need for a financial penalty and bond system so that individuals who overstay their visas suffer “significant financial consequences.”

“The core of Trumpism, the core of populism, is the sense that the rich people don’t care about this country [and] they specifically don’t care about about the middle class,” McKenna noted.

Republicans should reach out to swing voters — and to their base voters — by talking about the pocketbook impact of migration, McKenna said, continuing:

The beneficiaries of illegal immigration are not the illegal immigrants. The beneficiaries are the business owners and Senior Vice Presidents in companies who employ illegal immigrants, because the illegal immigrants depress wages, and everybody knows it, which is why every [emplpyer] hires them despite the legal risks … If the business owners in this country decided they didn’t want to tolerate illegal immigration, it would stop in a matter of days because they just wouldn’t hire the [migrants].

The populist pocketbook pitches should be “weaved right through the [campaign] message [because if] you scratch anybody who works for a living, they know this, they see it, they understand it completely,” he added.

Echelon’s poll hinted at the untapped public support for a pro-American pocketbook pitch on immigration.

The poll asked 1.030 registered voters to choose between two options: “The government should deal with illegal immigration by making it easier to immigrate to the US legally [or] … The government should deal with illegal immigration by increasing border security and enforcement.”

Biden’s easy-migration policy is backed by the Democrats’ most committed voters. For example, it is strongly backed by 16 percent of all voters — but 70 percent of the one-in-ten people who are strong progressives.

The GOP’s border pitch also appeals to a concentrated group of reliable GOP voters. Forty-three percent of voters opposed the policy, including 92 percent of the three-in-twenty people who are strong conservatives oppose Biden’s policy.

Similarly, the GOP-leaning bloc of white non-college voters split 12 percent for Biden’s policy, and 50 percent against it.

More importantly, Biden’s policy is very unpopular among the mushy middle that can have not yet committed to voting for the GOP.

Self-described “moderates” split 12 percent strongly for Biden’s “easier to immigrate” policy — but 36 percent strongly for “border security and enforcement.” A category described as “Pure independents,” split 14 percent for to 36 percent against.

The Democrats are increasingly reliant on college-graduate voters, But white college graduates split 19 percent strong support for Biden’s policy, with 44 percent strongly against it.

Suburbanites split 15 percent to 45 percent. Suburban women split 15 percent to 46 percent.

The Echelon survey also shows that Biden’s policy is opposed by non-white groups that were until recently expected to vote in l0ckstep with Democrats. Hispanics split 23 percent strongly for Biden’s policy, and 28 percent for enforcement. Black voters split, 22 percent with strong support of Biden’s policy and 35 percent with strong opposition.

The survey shows little correlation between income and attitudes towards migration.

But the survey does not provide enough details to reveal any economic pressures, such as the widespread use of foreign H-1B contract workers to replace technically-skilled white-collar workers.

And many surveys by Rasmussen Reports show that Americans favor — by two or three to one — a migration policy that helps Americans get higher wages rather than a policy that provides employers with more imported workers.

Poll shows that the GOP has not won the trust of a majority of voters on immigration.

A June 18 press release by the Republican National Committee shows that the congressional GOP has failed to win majority trust on immigration. The release included a link to a June 24-26 poll of 2004 voters by Morning Consult and Politico, which showed that just 46 percent of voters trust the congressional GOP to handle immigration, despite the chaos and crime caused by Democratic policies.

The same failure to persuade was displayed in a July poll of 1,200 likely voters in 56 competitive districts, conducted by Fabrizio Ward & Impact for the AARP.  Just 46 percent of younger voters, and 47 percent of older voters, believe a GOP Congress would be better on immigration than a Democratic Congress. Twenty-five percent of voters said “equal” or “neither.”

An April 2022 survey by Echelon showed that 47 percent of voters believe immigration hurts the United States more than it helps, which was backed by 37 percent.

Only 4 percent of “pure independents” want immigration to be increased, the survey revealed.

Extraction Migration

Since at least 1990, the D.C. establishment has extracted tens of millions of legal and illegal migrants —plus temporary visa workers — from poor countries to serve as workers, managers, consumers, and renters for various U.S. investors and CEOs.

This federal economic policy of Extraction Migration has skewed the free market in the United States by inflating the labor supply for the benefit of employers.

The inflationary policy makes it difficult for ordinary Americans to get marriedadvance in their careersraise families, or buy homes.

Extraction migration has also slowed innovation and shrunk Americans’ productivity, partly because it allows employers to boost stock prices by using cheap stoop labor instead of productivity-boosting technology.

Migration undermines employees’ workplace rights, and it widens the regional wealth gaps between the Democrats’ big coastal states and the Republicans’ heartland and southern states. The flood of cheap labor tilts the economy towards low-productivity jobs and has shoved at least ten million American men out of the labor force.

An economy built on extraction migration also drains Americans’ political clout over elites, alienates young people, and radicalizes Americans’ democratic civic culture because it allows wealthy elites to ignore despairing Americans at the bottom of society.

The economic policy is backed by progressives who wish to transform the U.S. from a society governed by European-origin civic culture into a progressive-directed empire of competitive, resentful identity groups. “We’re trying to become the first multiracial, multi-ethnic superpower in the world,” Rep. Rohit Khanna (D-CA) told the New York Times in March 2022. “It will be an extraordinary achievement … we will ultimately triumph,” he boasted.

The progressives’ colonialism-like economic strategy kills many migrants. It exploits poor foreigners and splits foreign families as it extracts human resources from poor home countries to serve wealthy U.S. investors. This migration policy also minimizes shareholder pressure on U.S. companies to build up beneficial and complementary trade with people in poor countries.

Business-backed migration advocates hide this extraction migration economic policy behind a wide variety of noble-sounding explanations and theatrical border security programs. For example, progressives claim that the U.S. is a “Nation of Immigrants,” that migration is good for migrants, and that the state must renew itself by replacing populations.

The polls show the public wants to welcome some immigration — but they also show deep and broad public opposition to labor migration and the inflow of temporary contract workers into jobs sought by young U.S. graduates.

The opposition is growinganti-establishmentmultiracialcross-sexnon-racistclass-basedbipartisanrationalpersistent, and recognizes the solidarity that American citizens owe to one another.

Biden's Cabinet: Let us Count the Ways

That “President” Biden’s administration is the most inept, counterproductive, outright laughable in post-World War II American history is beyond question. One hardly needs to list out all the failures, missed goals and broken promises that we’ve suffered through in the last two years.  From generationally high inflation to skyrocketing energy prices to product shortages to rampant illegal immigration, Biden’s pathetic collection of Keystone Kops advisors and operatives could not have done a better job of destroying American culture, ruining the economy, gutting our defenses, and robbing us of international respect and influence if they’d tried.

Much of the blame can be laid at the feet of his sorrowful collection of incapable, bumbling cabinet members. To a person, they are simply a pitiful assemblage of special-interest box-checkers, apparently chosen for their appearance and demographic makeup, as opposed to their actual expertise and experience.

Mercifully, we won’t go through an analysis of every one of them here. Let’s just look at a few and see how they’ve played their role in harming the country with their utter incompetence and their hyperpartisan behavior.

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg

This appointment could be the most egregious of a truly notable group of incompetents. Mayor Pete was loved by the rank-and-file Democratic primary crowd not because of any worthwhile talent or accomplishment, but because of his choice of his life partner’s gender. He is the ultimate box-checker, the quintessential example of valueless progressive virtue-signaling. Buttigieg has never had the slightest experience in matters of complex international logistics, yet here he is, occupying a high-profile cabinet post and drawing inordinate negative attention to a normally invisible position by his having messed things up so badly.

Empty store shelves, container ships backed up, airlines canceling flights, inane statements like, “Just buy an electric car,” and more mark his totally deficient stewardship over what should be a relatively easy, straightforward post. No one can even name a past Secretary of Transportation, but everyone knows Mayor Pete because things are so screwed up. And for no good reason.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken

Where do we even start? Rolling over to China in the Administration’s first high-stakes face-to-face meeting in Alaska in March 2021? His part in the completely disastrous and humiliating withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021? His total lack of personal gravitas with a demeanor that screams of soft weakness? As America’s diplomatic face to the world, Blinken is the utter embodiment of the term “pushover.”

Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen

There was a great TV ad a few decades ago, where a sleazy salesman was on the phone with a disgruntled customer, caught in an obvious lie about his substandard product, saying, “I have… uh…. total confidence… that… uh…. everything will work out just fine” as copious, comical amounts of sweat poured from his brow. That’s Yellin, as she admitted that this horrific inflation would not be transitory after all, her earlier pronouncements to the contrary now exposed as the transparent partisan lies everyone knew them to be all along.

Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas

Mayorkas insists that our border is secure and there is no illegal immigration crisis. His greatest skill is that he seems to lie more effortlessly, more easily in front of the camera than any of the other cabinet members. He has probably done more damage to the country than any other cabinet member by his willingness to betray America’s fundamental, long-term interests by encouraging the administration’s intentional illegal immigration invasion.

Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm

This choice is particularly rich. Energy -- which really means the management of nation’s exploration and production of fossil fuels -- is a very complicated and demanding position. Unlike many other cabinet posts, the selection of Energy Secretary demands that the individual have actual, real expertise and experience in that area. This is not a position for “on the job” training. An in-depth knowledge of worldwide energy market/economic dynamics, a true understanding of the U.S. auto market, the ability to balance competing economic vs. environmental factors, the capability to be mindful of political considerations without being blindly beholden to them to the detriment of the country, all these skills are essential in order for the Secretary of Energy to effectively discharge his responsibilities.

In fairness to Granholm, very few of her predecessors have satisfied all those requirements either. But most have at least done little harm, unlike her. Granholm apparently has no real knowledge of anything and simply parrots the Green line that, “Fossil fuels are bad, buy an EV, drive past the gas station.” That’s our national energy policy? Really? The conflicting considerations of worldwide oil supply and demand, domestic exploration/production, our national refining capacity, fuel distribution/logistics, political/environmental issues, all of these must be weighed in proper proportion in order to create an energy policy that works to the country’s benefit. Granholm gives every indication that she knows none of this whatsoever, and worse yet, doesn’t care. Her aim is clearly just to prop up the current Administration’s political position.

We could go on, with cabinet member after cabinet member. Are any of them experts in their field? Being from Massachusetts, the memory of Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh as a glib-talking, heavily-accented Boston mayor totally bereft of any substantive accomplishments is all too clear to me. What notable, innovative enhancements has he brought to the national labor market in his current position? None. Raimondo? Becerra? The bungling Lloyd Austin? Cardona? Fudge? Any of the others? They are all box-checking political rewards.

Attorney General Merrick Garland

Garland is the exception in this group. He has actual professional qualifications to be attorney general. He was a well-established U.S Circuit Court of Appeals judge in D.C. and has had a long career in the legal profession. Unlike all the other cabinet members, Garland’s education, experience, and expertise in his field are beyond question.

Unfortunately, his obvious qualifications make him the saddest, most pathetic political hack of a group of truly notable hacks. Garland can’t fall back on the “I didn’t know any better” or the “Well, it’s not my area” excuse. He does know better and it is his area. When he initiates a fraudulent, arbitrary prosecution against a former Trump associate or refuses to prosecute flagrant crimes against conservative Republicans, there can be no doubt that Garland is carrying out a one-sided, partisan legal strategy of the worst kind. He is so prejudiced and vengeful that he makes Eric Holder (known for being “Obama’s wingman”) and Loretta Lynch (she of the infamous Clinton runway meeting) look like Atticus Finch by comparison.

The fact that Merrick Garland is the only Biden cabinet member with any semblance of professional credentials and that he misuses those credentials in the extreme manner in which he does says everything one needs to know about this absolute embarrassment of a presidency.

A Corrupt and Rigged Government

A recent University of Chicago Institute of Politics poll showed that a majority of Americans think our government is corrupt and rigged against them. And almost a third of respondents also feel it may eventually be necessary to take up arms against the evil empire currently running the show.

Subtract from that poll the bleeding-heart libs who think feelings matter more than facts, and the numbers are scarier still.

Big Government, including their toadies in the mainstream media, has clearly blown its cover. And it appears, based on this poll, that the American people are mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore.

Why have so many lost faith in our government to the point that armed rebellion is being considered?

Double standards, that’s why. Americans see them and they’re rightfully furious.

They see the despicable treatment afforded President Trump, whose term in office surely seems like the good old days when compared to the turmoil Democrats have unleashed in just a year and a half at the helm.

They watched the press question Trump’s mental fitness and acuity while staunchly supporting the corrupt, dried-up turnip currently occupying the Oval Office.

They observed the media constantly demonizing Trump’s family and then totally supporting “Dr.” Jill and the hapless, hopeless Biden spawn.

They’ve seen every aspect of the Donald’s financial dealings examined with a fine-tooth comb, while the Big Guy (Hunter’s nickname for Crusty Joe) gets half of his crack and sex-addled son’s ill-gotten millions with impunity.

They’ve watched the FBI run multiple coups against both candidate and President Trump, while sitting on the treasure trove of Biden family criminality contained in Hunter’s laptop, which the Feebs have been “investigating” for two and a half years now.

They’ve observed how law enforcement looked the other way as BLMers peacefully rioted, taking lives, ruining businesses, and causing billions of dollars in damage -- all this while authorities pretend that January 6 was another Pearl Harbor, instead of a relatively small dustup where the crowd was rife with Feds, officers obligingly opened the doors to the Capitol, and the only person killed was an unarmed woman, shot to death with impunity by a cop.

They see criminals, perverts and drug dealers released without bail to continue their wicked ways while the Jan. 6th defendants rot in D.C. jails, their Constitutional rights suspended and their personal lives ruined.

They’ve watched in stunned silence as Democrats and the Deep State pulled every dirty trick in the book on President Trump, while the Republican members of the D.C. Uni-Party sat silent or, as in the case of Cheney and Kinzinger, eagerly concurred.

They’ve listened as Hollywood, the media, and academia all denigrated Trump’s burning desire to make America great again, at the same time supporting the notion that our country is a racist, sexist, xenophobic hellhole, and always has been.

They’ve undoubtedly noticed that Democrats, with the help of Big Tech and many millions of Zucker-bucks, made it incredibly easy to cheat in the last election; yet Trump has been portrayed as a psychopathic monster for pointing out that he was clearly jobbed out of a second term.

They watched President Trump fight the COVID-19 pandemic with all his might, even as wee Dr. Fauci and Dr. Scarf purposely undermined his efforts with their lies, double-talk and obfuscation. While Trump fought the good fight, white-coated bureaucrats and their pals in Big Pharma got incredibly wealthy.

They watched Trump castigate China for loosing COVID-19 upon the world, causing millions of needless deaths, even as the NBA, Hollywood, influential leaders of both parties, and the Biden Crime Family all filled their pockets with yauns while defending the fine folks of the Chinese Communist Party.

They surely observed how President Trump’s policies lifted all financial boats, setting records for black and Hispanic employment, while the Swamp was busy calling Trump and his supporters irredeemable racists.

They couldn’t help but notice how Trump was deemed a scoundrel for pointing out that women generally allowed him easy sexual access because he was a wealthy celebrity. But those same folks upset with Trump’s statement of fact, were totally incurious about our current demented president’s fondness for touching, fondling, and smelling small children; nor did they show any interest in reports that Creepy Joe took showers with his young daughter, who then became a promiscuous young woman and an addict.

They surely took note of Trump’s incredible energy in his old age, how quick he was to travel the world, campaign for his undeserving party, and speak to reporters. It must have been shocking then to see Senile Joe garble his words, hide from the press, and spend long weekends out of sight and out of mind in Delaware, all this while falling up stairs and off his bicycle.

They also noted how firm President Trump was with other countries, telling Germany to pony up for NATO, forcing Mexico to stop enabling illegal immigration with financial penalties, and reducing IRGC general Qasem Suleimani to a grease stain on the desert floor for threatening U.S. soldiers and diplomats. Now, of course, they watch as Iran plays Biden’s diplomats for fools, Russia feels secure enough in Biden’s impotence to start a war, and the Saudis laugh in the doddering old fool’s face when Biden comes begging for more oil.

They could see that President Trump made the U.S. energy independent, creating jobs and prosperity for everyone; while the current administration has crushed the energy industry, making gas and oil unaffordable for the common man, even as the climate-change crusaders fly around in private jets, party maskless during a pandemic, and buy up oceanfront mansions.

They watched Donald Trump become the first president to stand up for the rights of unborn babies and choose like-minded justices for the Supreme Court; this followed by an administration vowing to use all means, legal and extralegal, to facilitate the dismemberment of unborn innocents, not to mention choosing a Supreme Court justice solely on the basis of her genitalia and skin color.

They observed Trump praising and building up our military might, even as turncoats like General Mark “White Rage” Milley and Col. Alexander Vindman, surely the softest Ranger ever, purposely undermined their commander-in-chief by providing comfort to the enemy and conspiring to impeach the president, respectively.

In summation, it’s clear to me and anyone with eyes to see why a majority of Americans thinks our government is rotten to the core, and why many think a second American Revolution may be necessary to restore integrity in government. What’s not clear is why anyone who’s lived through the obvious double standards I just enumerated, doesn’t feel that way.

the last major media holdout still shilling for Joe Biden

By all accounts - by every economic indicator, every political poll, every overseas interaction, every lie at the presidential podium -- Joe Biden is a miserable failure as president. Inflation brought on by government spending has now tipped the economy into recession and there is no end in sight. The border lies open, with the Border Patrol converted into a de facto valet and escort service for literally millions of unvetted illegal border crossers. Crime is out of control. America is a laughingstock abroad, with Biden's name on the most humiliating military pullout in U.S. history.

He's a man utterly unfit for the office, a man whose very placement in office demonstrates the horrific consequences of electoral fraud.

Even the New York Times has come to much of this sorry conclusion, as has the Washington Post, and to an increasing extent, CNN and the other networks, as well as their deep-state allies. A slew of negative stories are now out on the failures and shocking corruption of Biden, as Democrats plot to remove the millstone-round-their-necks from office.

Victor Davis Hanson observed it best:

Now, that liability, that asset, Joe Biden, is a liability, and he's so low in the polls that they're going to blame him for their own progressive message, failing to attract voters. So all of a sudden out of this administrative state and the FBI, the DOJ, maybe even the White House, people are starting to leak

But then there's that one lone holdout in the mainstream press, still reliving that glory moment of Joe's ascent to the presidency, still telling us there's a rainbow round the corner ...  with leprachaun Joe standing at the pot of gold at the end of it.

That clown's outfit is Politico, a usually better than average source of news otherwise. It's the lone holdout, the dead-ender still resolutely insisting that Joe Biden in the White House will somehow usher in a worker's paradise and prosperity is around the corner. It's amazing how they cling to their man.

Their latest is here:

Somehow, someway, Joe Biden is back in the game.

After enduring a brutal year dominated by economic angst, legislative setbacks and sinking approval ratings, the president is suddenly on the verge of a turnaround that, the White House believes, could salvage his summer — and alter the trajectory of his presidency.

All he needs to do now is close.

Hear that? We are at the cusp, always the cusp, of a Joe Biden renaissance, just one more move to be had before unicorns and flowers will bloom.

Don't think it's not a pattern with these guys -- it is a pattern. The same day, one of Politico's Biden fanboys, a big one, co-founder John F. Harris, put out this:

Wait, is Biden a better president than people thought? Many progressives have spent the Biden years in a mood of rising despair and even rage about the prospects for achieving the kind of fundamental change they believe the country and world urgently need. They wish Joe Manchin was a different kind of senator. They wish the Democrats were a different kind of party.

Above all, they wish Joe Biden was a different kind of president — or that a different leader altogether was in his job.

Suddenly, the mood is looking up. Manchin’s surprise decision to back $370 billion in tax credits to stimulate clean-energy technologies and other progressive environmental priorities came after many Democrats had concluded hope was pointless. Assuming the deal survives further legislative maneuvering in coming days — not a forgone conclusion — it invites a reappraisal of Biden’s leadership. Maybe that isn’t hopeless, either?

Following a pattern with long roots in his career, Biden is looking a little like the student who is failing his class for most of the semester, then pulls an all-nighter and slips the paper under the professor’s door at 6 a.m. It turns out the paper is actually pretty good.

Still shilling, still plugging for Ol' Plugs, despite the obvious failures, and despite the abandonment of the rest of the press of the idea of Joe Biden's genius.

All of that spells failure, no matter what the odd political victory that falls into his lap may signify. The huge new federal spending being touted by Politico, Biden and the Democrats is certain to stoke inflation, making it ever more hellish for Americans, and bringing the country closer to the 'you will own nothing and be happy' of the global resetters. Frighteningly enough, Joe doesn't know what causes inflation, which is government spending and a pliant monetary policy, remaining firmly convinced that he can print his way out of any problem.

That's what's pulling Biden's popularity down, along with the continuous failure of results. To confuse that with a slew of new spending his congressional allies manage to get through Congress is pinning the tail on the wrong donkey.

Politico, though, just can't quit him.

Maybe that's because they have been in the tank from the beginning for Old Joe and want to preserve their 'investment.'

Right after Biden was "elected," Harris put out this tripe -- let's start with the headline:

How Life-Sized Joe Biden Could Be a Larger-Than-Life President

Had enough?

Larger than life, sure, but not in a good way.

The reality is that Biden is a failure, a continuous one.  Here's Joe in all his tin-eared glory yesterday, following his wreckage of the economy:

President Joe Biden on Thursday reminded Americans suffering from inflation and high gas prices that he sent them a check for $8,000 in 2021.

“There’s reason to be down but I started thinking about it … the first year, we were able with the rescue plan, we were able to send them a check for eight grand,” he said. “I mean a check. Beyond that by the way, there was more than that.”
Does that sound like a winning message to the single mom who still can't find baby formula for her special-diet infant, or the person who has to walk several miles to work because he's out of gas money for his car? Does it sound like a word of hope to people whose raises have been eviscerated by inflation outrunning those raises, turning them into pay cuts?

It sounds like Joe Biden, and all the horrors he continually bestows upon America, even as Politico continues to shill for him. Those guys need to wake up to the reality of political life here, given the nightmare regime Biden has bestowed upon the United States which is still ongoing, and going to stay ongoing, given Biden's inability to change.

Gov. Newsom is correct—Californians have lots of freedoms

In what sounded like a Babylon Bee story, California’s Governor Gavin Newsom ran ads in Florida in early July claiming that “freedom is under attack in your state.” When the laughter died down, most people pointed out that Florida is one of the freest states in the nation.

Newsom, whose hair gel budget might be hurting with the current 9.1 percent “Bidenflation” rate, urged Floridians “to join the fight, or join us in California, where we still believe in freedom.”

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis responded to the ads.

I was born and raised in this state. And until the last few years, I rarely, if ever, saw a California license plate in the state of Florida. You now see a lot of them. I can tell you. If you go to California, you ain’t seeing very many Florida license plates.

What you do see in California:

  • One-third of America’s welfare recipients live in the state.
  • One-fifth of its residents live below the poverty line.
  • One-quarter of its residents not having been born in the United States.
  • The most illegal aliens and homeless population in all 50 states.
  • The highest state income and gas taxes.

Most Golden State residents would never put “California” and “freedom” in the same sentence, but maybe they’re thinking is too limited. Maybe Gov. Newsom is right! As one of the dwindling number of Republicans who still call this state home, I want to share that Californians have many freedoms:

  • Freedom to choose which worthless mask to wear. The one that reads “my mask is as useless as my governor” or the one that displays the state’s crime statistics.
  • Freedom to pay 10 cents for plastic grocery shopping bags or bring our own dirty reusable bags (which we can’t wash regularly because of water rationing).
  • Freedom on a sweltering hot day to stare at our non-working air conditioner or use hand-held battery fans because rolling brownouts turned the electricity off.
  • Freedom to smuggle plastic straws into a restaurant or use soggy cardboard straws.
  • Freedom to decide between walking through a homeless camp “decorated” with human feces or one sprinkled with dirty needles.
  • Freedom to buy gas at the highest price in all 50 states or put on a pair of sneakers and walk.
  • Freedom to ask a security guard at a shopping mall to escort us to our car due to spiraling crime or to take the chance of becoming another crime victim statistic.
  • Freedom to drive home from the mall, steering with one hand while holding a can of pepper spray in the other, or risk someone following us home.
  • Freedom to read the weekly police log and guess if those arrested had illegally entered the sanctuary state by land or by sea.
  • Freedom to guess which will result in more bogus votes: mail-in ballots or drop boxes.
  • Freedom to choose between taking a shower or running the dishwasher due to Sacramento’s failure to build any new reservoirs in 40+ years in this desert state. (In 1980, the state had a population of nearly 24 million. Today it’s just under 40 million.)
  • Freedom to know that our home could burn in a wildfire since environmentalists won’t allow properly planned underbrush burns or to live in a tent in a homeless camp.
  • Freedom to have our children attend public school where they fail reading, writing, and math but pass critical race theory and transgenderism.
  • Freedom to plan scenic coastal car trips on bumpy roads, pot-holed freeways, or decaying bridges.
  • Freedom to work hard to pay exorbitant rent in high-crime neighborhoods or purchase an overpriced home only to have the house next door torn down and replaced with a four-plex rental.

But at least much of California has great weather!

The Demise of American Citizenship

From 1860 to 2000, in the largest legal migration in human history, over 61 million immigrants arrived in the United States.  They were not only escaping poverty and oppression, but they were eager to assimilate and attain the most sought-after national status in the world: American citizenship. Today in the 21st century, American citizenship and its one-of-a-kind written contract with the central government, the Constitution with its Bill of Rights, is under relentless assault by the nation’s governing establishment and teetering on the edge of meaninglessness.

Taking the Oath of Allegiance at a citizenship ceremony (YouTube screengrab)

No nation can maintain its status as a nation without secure and identifiable borders.  Citizenship means nothing if untold millions of illegal immigrants openly defy the laws without consequence.  It is estimated that 22 million illegals resided in the United States as of 2018.  Responding to an explicit invitation from the Biden administration, another 2+ million have walked unchallenged across the border in the past 18 months.

These so-called undocumented immigrants are becoming legally indistinguishable from citizens as they openly reside in 500 sanctuary jurisdictions, receive welfare, education and medical care, are granted drivers licenses, and given tuition breaks at public universities as they, not legal immigrants or American citizens, are exempt from federal immigration, health and travel laws.

The nation’s motto “E Pluribus Unum” (“Out of many, One”) has been deliberately and maliciously replaced with degenerate tribalism.  The current iteration of the ruling class and their radical left-wing allies have relentlessly promoted the concept that individual citizens do not owe their allegiance to the United States but instead owe their allegiance to racial or ethnic groups that look like them or to those that profess certain sexual proclivities or to those that wallow in corrosive anti-Americanism.

This elitist and progressive heterodoxy aspires to destroy statues, rename streets, buildings and military installations, re-write and recast American history, and erase the art and architecture that does not reflect either their globalist views or their narcissistic racial, ethnic, sexual, or class-structured self-gratification.  Being a “woke” citizen of the world is far more important than being a citizen of the United States.

The vast bulk of the American elites and their status-seeking hangers-on see nothing exceptional in America, either past or present.  Turning their backs on their American citizenship while denigrating it, these apostates are deliberately attempting to fuel shame among the citizenry over what they claim to be the iniquitous origins and traditions of America.  Regrettably, they have succeeded in perhaps permanently undermining the distinctiveness and unique privileges of American citizenship which is the glue that has held this society together for over two hundred years.

After the blatant and unconstitutional voting law changes that allowed the Democrat party and the ruling elites to fraudulently win the 2020 presidential election, one of the basic birthrights of American citizenship, voting in fair and free elections, has been permanently imperiled.

Millions of mail-in ballots with no security controls were indiscriminately distributed and unaccounted for throughout the length and breadth of the country, at least 4-8 million ballots were illegally “harvested” by paid campaign workers, and per the documentary film “2000 Mules” hundreds of thousands of ballots were feloniously “stuffed” into innumerable drop-off boxes.

The denials of election fraud and subsequent cover-ups by the media and the ruling class ring hollow and insincere as they, in essence, have told the American citizens that they have little or no say in who is chosen to run or how their leaders are elected.

The first seven words of the U.S. Constitution are: “We the people of the United States.”   It is a document by the American citizens for the American citizens.  Not only can the citizenry no longer rely on open and honest elections to choose the president and members of Congress, the judiciary and bureaucracy have unconstitutionally evolved into uncontrolled powers unto themselves.

Activist federal judges habitually overturn legislation they find contrary to their left-wing political beliefs and willfully impose their cultural beliefs on American society.  They do so in the knowledge that there will be no repercussions from their political allies in the other two branches of government nor do they care that they are cancelling the votes of untold millions of American citizens.

Meanwhile, in the swamp of Washington, D.C. the bureaucratic, administrative, and regulatory state has become so vast, powerful, and unaccountable that desk-bound apparatchiks can issue life-altering edicts that have the force of law, they can harass entrepreneurs, and they can issue regulations that can drive a business or an American citizen into bankruptcy.  All without any oversight or constraint by those the American citizens are supposedly electing and who are purposefully derelict in their duties.

Among the most important and unique aspects of American citizenship are the written guarantees of rights as enumerated in the first ten amendments to the Constitution.  Four of these amendments (the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth) are devoted to making certain that the legal process is fair and protects the citizens from injustice.  Another amendment, the fourth, limits the ability of the government to conduct warrantless searches and seizures.  Thus, five of the ten amendments in the Bill of Rights focus on the citizen’s right to fair and impartial justice.

Yet over the past two decades, the ruling class, in conjunction with their fellow-travelers in the state and federal judiciary, has systematically ignored these enumerated rights of American citizenship and created a two-tier system of justice.  Their political allies and followers as well as politically correct felons and criminals are treated leniently or, in many cases not prosecuted, while their political adversaries and their followers as well as non-politically correct felons and criminals are hounded and punitively prosecuted.

The disproportionally harsh judicial treatment of the non-violent protestors on January 6, 2021, as compared to the lack of prosecution and leniency shown the de facto allies of the ruling class who throughout the spring and summer of 2020 sowed death, destruction, looting and arson, confirms that not all American citizens are equal under the law.

It is no longer the Constitution but the ruling class that defines what encompasses the rights and privileges of American citizenship.  All our constitutional rights, including freedom of speech and the unalienable right of self-defense, are increasingly optional and subject to the whims and fiats of the elected and unelected politically correct and self-righteous elites and bureaucrats.

This nation is unraveling, transforming American citizens into mere residents of a vast stretch of land between the borders of Canada and Mexico.

The most meaningful day in my life occurred in 1956 when as a boy of eleven or twelve I became a citizen of the United States.  Little did I know that in my lifetime I would see the descent of American citizenship into near meaninglessness.  A collapse that came about internally and was not directly precipitated by the nation’s foreign adversaries.

Unfortunately, the bulk of Americans obliviously believe that American citizenship remains what it has always been; in reality, it is rapidly disappearing.

California Makes History: First State in U.S. Giving Food Stamps to Illegal Aliens

JOHN BINDER

29 Jun 20220

The sanctuary state of California will make history by becoming the first state in the nation to give food stamps to illegal aliens.

This week, Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) announced a budget deal with Democrat state legislators that includes providing food stamps, paid for by California’s taxpayers, to illegal aliens 55 and older — the first initiative of its kind in the United States.

An executive with the group Nourish California told the Fresno Bee that the policy is historic for the state, saying, “California is once again making history by removing xenophobic exclusions to our state’s safety net.”

Expansion of the state’s CalFresh food stamps program will cost California’s taxpayers more than $35 million and about 75,000 illegal aliens are expected to enroll every year.

The move comes as Newsom’s budget deal will also ensure that California is the first state in the nation to provide taxpayer-funded health insurance to all of its 3.3 million illegal aliens.

Offering taxpayer-funded health insurance to its entire illegal alien population, the largest in the nation, is expected to cost California’s taxpayers about $2.4 billion annually. The plan is scheduled to begin in 2024.

BIDEN PARTNERS WITH MEXICO TO ORCHESTRATE ANOTHER MASSIVE MEX INVASION OF DEM VOTING ILLEGALS.

https://mexicanoccupation.blogspot.com/2020/11/the-biden-amnesty-and-mexicos-planned.html

"Mexican president candidate Andrés Manuel López Obrador called for mass immigration to the United States, declaring it a "human right". We will defend all the (Mexican) invaders in the American," Obrador said, adding that immigrants "must leave their towns and find a life, job, welfare, and free medical in the United States."

"Fox’s Tucker Carlson noted Thursday that Obrador has previously proposed granting AMNESTY TO MEXICAN DRUG CARTELS. “America is now Mexico’s social safety net, and that’s a very good deal for the Mexican ruling class,” Carlson added."

"Many Americans forget is that our country is located against a socialist failed state that is promising to descend even further into chaos – not California, the other one. And the Mexicans, having reached the bottom of the hole they have dug for themselves, just chose to keep digging by electing a new leftist presidente who wants to surrender to the cartels and who thinks that Mexicans have some sort of “human right” to sneak into the U.S. and demographically reconquer it." KURT SCHLICHTER

As in 2016, Democrats advance a corrupt ruling-class candidate. Like the dead man Gary Ernst, Democrats want people to vote for Joe Biden so they can swap him out for Kamala Harris, already a beneficiary of voter fraud and with the exception of Xavier Becerra possibly the worst attorney general in California history.

Study: More than 7-in-10 California Immigrant

Welfare

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2018/12/04/study-more-than-7-in-10-california-immigrant-households-are-on-welfare/

More than 7-in-10 households headed by immigrants in the state of California are on taxpayer-funded welfare, a new study reveals.

The latest Census Bureau data analyzed by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) finds that about 72 percent of households headed by noncitizens and immigrants use one or more forms of taxpayer-funded welfare programs in California — the number one immigrant-receiving state in the U.S.

Meanwhile, only about 35 percent of households headed by native-born Americans use welfare in California.

All four states with the largest foreign-born populations, including California, have extremely high use of welfare by immigrant households. In Texas, for example, nearly 70 percent of households headed by immigrants use taxpayer-funded welfare. Meanwhile, only about 35 percent of native-born households in Texas are on welfare.

In New York and Florida, a majority of households headed by immigrants and noncitizens are on welfare. Overall, about 63 percent of immigrant households use welfare while only 35 percent of native-born households use welfare.

President Trump’s administration is looking to soon implement a policy that protects American taxpayers’ dollars from funding the mass importation of welfare-dependent foreign nationals by enforcing a “public charge” rule whereby legal immigrants would be less likely to secure a permanent residency in the U.S. if they have used any forms of welfare in the past, including using Obamacare, food stamps, and public housing.

The immigration controls would be a boon for American taxpayers in the form of an annual $57.4 billion tax cut — the amount taxpayers spend every year on paying for the welfare, crime, and schooling costs of the country’s mass importation of 1.5 million new, mostly low-skilled legal immigrants.

As Breitbart News reported, the majority of the more than 1.5 million foreign nationals entering the country every year use about 57 percent more food stamps than the average native-born American household. Overall, immigrant households consume 33 percent more cash welfare than American citizen households and 44 percent more in Medicaid dollars. This straining of public services by a booming 44 million foreign-born population translates to the average immigrant household costing American taxpayers $6,234 in federal welfare.

Study: Amnesty Will Cost ‘Hundreds of Billions’

NEIL MUNRO

President Joe Biden’s amnesty plan will spike Social Security spending by “hundreds of billions” over the next few decades, according to a forecast by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS).

The February 22 report, titled “Amnesty Would Cost the Social Security and Medicare Trust Funds Hundreds of Billions of Dollars,” says:

The new taxes paid by the average amnesty recipient amount to only half of the $94,500 noted above. The net effect of amnesty is therefore $140,330 [in Social Security benefits] minus $47,250 [in paid taxes], which is about $93,000 per recipient. In any large-scale amnesty, in which millions of illegal immigrants gain legal status, it is easy to see how the net cost could reach into the hundreds of billions of dollars.

The predicted $93,000 per person cost would be a financial burden for taxpayers — but would be a giveaway to business groups because the Social Security payments will be converted into purchases of consumer products, healthcare services, medical drugs, apartments, and food.

At least 11 million people — perhaps 20 million — are living illegally in the United States. The number rises as people overstay their visas, evade deportation orders, or sneak over the border — but it also falls as some migrants get deported, leave, or find ways to get green cards via the rolling “Adjustment of Status” process.

But taxpayers’ expenses are also economic gains for business groups and investors. In January 2020, a coalition of business groups sued deputies for President Donald Trump after he reduced the inflow of poor migrants into the U.S. consumer market, saying:

Because [green-card applicants] will receive fewer public benefits under the Rule, they will cut back their consumption of goods and services, depressing demand throughout the economy …

The New American Economy Research Fund calculates that, on top of the $48 billion in income that is earned by individuals who will be affected by the Rule—and that will likely be removed from the U.S. economy—the Rule will cause an indirect economic loss of more than $33.9 billion … Indeed, the Fiscal Policy Institute has estimated that the decrease in SNAP and Medicaid enrollment under the Rule could, by itself, lead to economic ripple effects of anywhere between $14.5 and $33.8 billion, with between approximately 100,000 and 230,000 jobs lost … Health centers alone would be forced to drop as many as 6,100 full-time medical staff.

CIS promised a more detailed report:

This is just a rough estimate. We are currently working on a detailed model that will provide more precise costs for both Social Security and Medicare. Again, however, any reasonable calculation will produce a large cost, simply because amnesty will convert so many outside contributors into actual beneficiaries.

For years, a wide variety of pollsters have shown deep and broad opposition to labor migration and to the inflow of temporary contract workers into jobs sought by young U.S. graduates.

The multiracialcross-sexnon-racistclass-basedintra-Democratic, and solidarity-themed opposition to labor migration coexists with generally favorable personal feelings toward legal immigrants and toward immigration in theory — despite the media magnification of many skewed polls and articles that still push the 1950’s corporate “Nation of Immigrants” claim.

The deep public opposition is built on the widespread recognition that migration moves money from employees to employers, from families to investors, from young to old, from children to their parents, from homebuyers to real estate investors, and from the central states to the coastal states.

However, Biden’s officials have been broadcasting their desire to change border policies to help extract more migrants from Central America for the U.S. economy. On February 19, for example, deputies of DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas posted a tweet offering support to migrants illegally working in the United States and to migrants who may wish to live in the United States.

We'll get 1 million-plus Biden migrants this year, warns ex-Obama/DHS official now at Harvard.
The warning includes a weak criticism of the ethnic lobbies & open-borders progressives who are undermining an Ivy League giveaway in the amnesty bill.#H1B https://t.co/RqZBEGcxKO

Biden’s HHS Nominee Does Not Rule Out Taxpayer-Funded Healthcare for Illegal Aliens

JOHN BINDER

President Joe Biden’s nominee to lead the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, dodged a question on whether he would push to provide American taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits to illegal aliens.

This week, during a hearing before the Senate Finance Committee, Becerra was asked by Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) about his previous support for decriminalizing illegal immigration and providing illegal aliens with taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits.

Becerra, though, dodged the question by saying he would follow the parameters of the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare, which he said allows “very rare” cases of illegal aliens to receive benefits.

The exchange went as follows:

DAINES: You’re on record for pushing for allowing illegal immigrants to receive taxpayer-funded healthcare and for decriminalizing illegal entry into the United States. This coupled with President Biden’s radical plan for granting citizenship to those who are here illegally would potentially lead to hundreds of thousands, if not potentially millions, more people flooding into our country. [Emphasis added]

As you know, in 2016, California passed a law requiring covered Californians to apply for … waivers to allow illegal immigrants to purchase health insurance in the marketplace. This waiver was withdrawn after President Trump’s election. [Emphasis added]

My question is this: Will you attempt to use the waiver authority contained in the Affordable Care Act to grant healthcare benefits to illegal immigrants? [Emphasis added]

BECERRA: Senator, I can tell you that where the law, as it stands now as I see it, it does not allow those who are unauthorized in this country to receive taxpayer-paid benefits except in very rare circumstances and it will be my job to make sure that we are following and enforcing the law. And I can commit to you that that is what we will do. [Emphasis added]

In a letter to Biden, 11 Senate Republicans and 64 House Republicans asked the president to withdraw Becerra’s nomination to be HHS Secretary, citing his support for taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits for illegal aliens, among other issues.

“Mr. Becerra seeks to decriminalize illegal immigration, which would extend expensive government benefits like Medicaid to anyone who illegally crosses our borders,” the letter states.

A Politico report this week suggested Becerra is eyeing plans to provide illegal aliens with taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits should he lead HHS.

“He’s one of those individuals that had exceedingly deep convictions about the need to cover the undocumented individuals in all of our communities,” former Rep. Charles Gonzalez (D-TX) told Politico of Becerra.

Should Becerra become HHS Secretary, he could let illegal aliens onto Obamacare exchanges while pressuring states to pursue similar policies to those in California. Likewise, Becerra could open Obamacare exchanges to particular subgroups of illegal aliens, like those enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

As Breitbart News reported, forcing taxpayers to provide healthcare to all illegal aliens would cost citizens anywhere between $23 billion to $66 billion every single year — potentially a $660 billion bill for taxpayers every decade, without adjusting for inflation and the increasing number of illegal aliens.

Cost is only the first issue facing taxpayers. Medical experts have admitted providing healthcare to illegal aliens would ensure a never-ending flood of illegal aliens arriving at the southern border with “serious health problems” and local hospitals would have to cover the costs.

Already, taxpayers are forced to subsidize about $18.5 billion of yearly medical costs for illegal aliens living in the U.S., according to estimates by Chris Conover, formerly of the Center for Health Policy and Inequalities Research at Duke University.

When U.S. voters were polled by CNN on the issue in July 2019, nearly 6-in-10 said they were opposed to such a policy, including 63 percent of swing voters and 61 percent of self-described “moderates.”
