Report: Biden’s Delayed 2024 Campaign Intended to Protect the President from Himself

President Joe Biden’s delayed 2024 presidential campaign launch is reportedly intended to protect the president from himself.

While reports suggested Biden would announce his reelection bid in April, the launch was reportedly put off until the summer. The press has speculated why the president continues to postpone the campaign’s commencement. Some have supposed former President Donald Trump’s indictment changed Biden’s calculus. Others believe postponement reduces the possibility of posting fundraising numbers that might not match Trump’s.

The latest reason came Monday in a report from the New York Times’ Shane Goldmacher & Reid J. Epstein, who speculated the delay could be intended to protect the president’s stamina amid old age-related gaffes. As the oldest president in U.S. history, the president’s delayed campaign launch is intended to shield the 80-year-old president from hours of “grueling fund-raising” and “age-related mishaps,” the report alleged.

“Spending time on the campaign trail, with its unscripted moments, introduces the risk of age-related mishaps,” Goldmacher and Epstein wrote.

“The president’s slipping on stairs while boarding Air Force One or falling off a bicycle were minor episodes during his first two years in office that nonetheless circulated heavily in the conservative news media,” readers were reminded. “A similar incident during the heat of a presidential campaign could be far more significant.”

Just last week, Biden, a self-proclaimed “gaffe machine,” continued his streak of numerous gaffes in Ireland. During a state dinner in Ireland on Thursday, Biden told the audience to go “lick the world.” At the end of a rambling speech in a pub Wednesday, he confused New Zealand’s fierce All Blacks rugby team with the “Black and Tans” British security forces unit, a faux pas in the United Kingdom.

Fundraising could also be at the center of the delayed timing. “[S]ome officials fear an earlier entry might prove to be a wheel-spinning exercise, demanding that the aging president traverse the grueling fund-raising circuit sooner than necessary,” the report said, warning the delay “will postpone building a war chest for the general election.”

The 2024 delay strategy appears to be similar to the president’s 2020 so-called “basement” tactic — where Biden used the pandemic to be publicly unavailable. Chuck Rocha, a Democratic strategist, told the Times Biden’s renewed strategy would shield him from “scrutiny” but warned it might hinder fundraising.

“The longer he waits, the less scrutiny he is under,” he said “You have to measure that against creating momentum in these states that will matter. You’ve got to build infrastructure.”

Trump has already built much of his infrastructure upon launching his campaign in November. He has hired key staffers and organized a broad fundraising apparatus. At the end of March, the campaign had $13.9 million in cash on hand, Politico reported. The Trump indictment supercharged the fundraising. In the first quarter of 2023, Trump raised $18.8 million.

“In general, any time a candidate’s name is all over the media and dominating attention, it’s good for fundraising,” Eric Wilson, a Republican strategist, told Politico. “The wall-to-wall coverage just put him top of mind for donors.”

The annual death toll from fentanyl poisoning in U.S. now equals the annual death toll of American soldiers in World War II. But Biden has made no effort to deter the Chinese from poisoning Americans by ending the subsidies we provide to their economy or revoking Most Favored Nation status, or closing all the Confucius Institutes in our universities set up to steal our technologies. From the Chinese point of view, this alone would be worth millions they poured to Biden's pockets. DAVID HOROWITZ

Over the years, U.S. banks have flagged over 150 SARs from Hunter and James Biden that included “large” amounts of money flagged for further review. SARs “often contain evidence of potential criminal activities, such as money laundering and fraud,” according to a 2020 Senate report.

PROFILE OF A SOCIOPATH GAMER LAWYER:

JOE BIDEN is known as a serial liar, a "public servant" who has somehow managed to accrue tremendous wealth, a race-baiting opportunist, Catholic-in-name-only, and a bought-and-paid-for politician in bed with criminal cartels and foreign foes.  In another era, Joe Biden would have been run out of his country much the same way Benedict Arnold was two and a half centuries ago; in an era when integrity, honor, fortitude, fidelity, and grit have been jettisoned for immorality, unscrupulousness, weakness, betrayal, and craven pliability, however, he is elevated to king sleazeball in a city drowning in sleaze. The FBI has ignored President Joe Biden’s role in the family’s foreign influence-peddling “conspiracy” in Ukraine, according to former Obama White House stenographer Mike McCormick.

Instead, the Biden family name has really stood for only two things: buffoonery and corruption.  For fifty years, Joe Biden has managed to hold onto some slice of power in D.C. as a senator, vice president, and Oval Office stooge not because he is renowned for his erudition or virtue but rather because his doltish behavior and venal character make him ideal for others to control.  Perhaps no other Washington relic has accomplished so little for the American people over such a prolonged government career or managed to harness those defects for lucrative advancement more successfully than China Joe

I’d be inclined to disagree with Don except for one thing: Biden has proven to be a very adept criminal mastermind. For decades, he has funneled millions of dollars to his children and siblings and, especially, to his debauched, deviant son, Hunter. ANDREA WIDBURG

There it is.  That's the issue.  To begin, you have the corrupt family Biden.  They've been scamming us and our system well for almost fifty years.  The man is supposedly worth over 250 million dollars.  How is this possible on his salary?  It's not.  So where did his wealth come from?  Not from being a brilliant businessman. DAVID PRENTICE

The book is a devastating chronicle of political corruption. From Ukraine to Mexico to China, Hunter Biden's private correspondence shows how he and his family leveraged his father's position to win high-paying, low-work gigs with shady foreign actors—and how Joe's official actions at times directly benefited his family's financial backers. ALANA GOODMAN

The fact that Hunter's market value was derived from his father's position seemed to be a source of resentment for the younger Biden, even as he continued to cash in on the name. Hunter complained in texts to his daughter that he had financially supported the Biden clan for three decades and that "pop" takes a cut of "half [my] salary." Financia records and correspondence reported on by Devine indicate that money from Hunter's business accounts was used to cover Joe's AT&T bill and home maintenance expenses and that a portion of at least one major China deal was earmarked for the elder Biden. ALANA GOODMAN

Joe Biden didn’t do anything wrong? A time-honored method of taking bribes is having them paid to a family member, usually in exchange for nominal or nonexistent services. It is comical to watch “reporters” pretend not to understand this.  MONICA SHOWALTER

The Biden 10-Step Plan for Global Chaos

The self-inflicted disasters leading to a new Chinese order.

Why is French President Emmanuel Macron cozying up to China while trashing his oldest ally, the United States?

Why is there sudden talk of discarding the dollar as the global currency?

Why are Japan and India saying they cannot follow the United States’ lead in boycotting Russian oil?

Why is the president of Brazil traveling to China to pursue what he calls a “beautiful relationship”?

Why is Israel suddenly facing attacks from its enemies in all directions?

What happened to Turkey? Why is it threatening fellow NATO member Greece? Is it still a NATO ally, neutral, or a de facto enemy?

Why are there suddenly ongoing Chinese threats toward Taiwan?

Why did Saudi Arabia conclude a new pact with Iran, its former archenemy?

Why was Egypt secretly planning to send rockets to Russia for use in Ukraine, according to leaked Pentagon papers?

Since when did the Russians talk nonstop about the potential use of a tactical nuclear weapon?

Why is Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador bragging that millions of Mexicans have entered the United States illegally? And why is he interfering in U.S. elections by urging his expatriates to vote for Democrats?

Why and how, in just two years, have confused and often incoherent President Joe Biden and his team created such global chaos?

Let us answer by listing ten ways by which America lost all deterrence:

1) Biden abruptly pulled all U.S. troops from Afghanistan. He left behind to the Taliban hundreds of Americans and thousands of pro-American Afghans. Biden abandoned billions of dollars in U.S. equipment, the most extensive air base in central Asia – recently retrofitted for $300 million – and a $1 billion embassy. Our government called such a debacle a success. The world disagreed and saw only humiliation.

2) The Biden administration allowed a Chinese high-altitude spy balloon to traverse the continental United States, spying on key American military installations. The Chinese were defiant when caught and offered no apologies. In response, the Pentagon and the administration simply lied about how China had surveilled top-secret sites.

3) In March 2021, at an Anchorage, Alaska mini-summit, Chinese diplomats unleashed a relentless barrage at their stunned and mostly silent American counterparts. They lectured the timid Biden administration diplomats about American toxicity and hypocrisy. And they have defiantly refused to explain why and how their virology lab birthed the COVID-19 virus that has killed tens of millions worldwide.

4) In June 2021, in response to Russian cyber-attacks against the United States, Biden meekly asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to at least make off-limits specific critical American infrastructure.

5) When asked what he would do if Russia invaded Ukraine, Biden replied that the reaction would depend on whether the Russians conducted a “minor incursion.”

6) Between 2021 and 2022, Biden serially insulted and bragged that he would not meet Muhammad bin Salman, the de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia, and one of our oldest and most valuable allies in the Middle East.

7) For much of 2021, the Biden administration announced that it was eager and ready to offer concessions to re-enter the dangerous Iran nuclear deal – when Iran has joined China and Russia in a new geostrategic partnership.

8) Almost immediately upon inauguration, the administration moved the United States away from Israel, restored financial aid to radical Palestinians, and publicly and privately alienated the current Netanyahu government.

9) In serial fashion, Biden stopped all construction on the border wall and opened the border. During the 2019 Democratic presidential primary, Biden made it known that illegal aliens were welcome to enter the United States – some 6-7 million did. He reinstated “catch and release.” And he did nothing about the Mexican cartel importation of fentanyl that has recently killed over 100,000 Americans per year.

10) In the last two years, the Pentagon has embarked on a woke agenda. The army is short by 15,000 in its annual recruitment quota. The defense budget has not kept up with inflation. One of the most significant intelligence leaks in U.S. history just occurred from the Pentagon.

The Pentagon refused to admit culpability and misled the country about Afghanistan and the Chinese spy balloon flight. The current chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff called his Chinese communist counterpart and head of the People’s Liberation Army to advise him that the U.S. military would warn the Chinese if it determined an order from its commander-in-chief, former President Donald Trump, was inappropriate.

This list of these self-inflicted disasters could be easily expanded.

But the examples explain well enough why our emboldened enemies do not fear us, our triangulating allies judge us unreliable, and calculating neutrals assume America is in descent and too dangerous to join.

Yet without America, the result is a new Chinese order in which, to quote the historian Thucydides, “The strong do what they can, and the weak suffer what they must.”

Defining Away Illegal Immigration
By Mark Krikorian
National Review, April 12, 2023
Excerpt: But the unlawful use of parole is just the tool. The policy served by that tool is one of de facto unlimited immigration. This administration believes that statutory limits on immigration are illegitimate, and it will undermine those limits if there are more people who want to come here than can be legally admitted. As Byron York put it a few months ago, “Republicans want policies that will stop, or at least dramatically reduce, the flow. Democrats want policies that will accommodate the flow.”

Breaking News: Biden Administration to Apply Immigration Law (Kind of)
By Andrew R. Arthur
The good news is Biden’s DHS has rediscovered expedited removal, the tool Congress created decades ago to secure the border. The bad news is that the department is making that process as “cumbersome” as the very flawed scheme it replaced in 1996. If aliens can pay smugglers thousands of dollars to bring them here, they can pay lawyers to be ready to represent them when they arrive, without forcing taxpayers to wait and foot the bill.

New USCIS Guidance Highlights the Problem with Categorical Parole

Migrant Surge Returns to West Texas Border Sector — 10K Apprehensions Last Week

Large migrant group crossings return to the El Paso Sector. (U.S. Border Patrol/El Paso Sector)
U.S. Border Patrol/El Paso Sector

El Paso Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 10,000 migrants who crossed the border between ports of entry during the past week. The spike follows a short downturn in migrant crossings as border officials prepare for the end of Title 42.

El Paso Sector Chief Patrol Agent Anthony “Scott” Good tweeted a weekly recap revealing his agents apprehended an average of 1,470 migrants per day during the past week. This shows that agents apprehended approximately 10,290 during the one-week period.

The report marks a resurgence of large migrant group crossings following a short downturn following December’s peak of 55,770 migrant apprehensions in December. That number fell to 30,035 in January when President Joe Biden announced new migrant protocols that allowed certain nationalities of migrants to be returned to their home country under Title 42.

In February, that number began to rise again with the apprehension of 32,233 migrants, according to official U.S. Customs and Border Protection reports. An unofficial Border Patrol report reviewed by Breitbart Texas earlier this month revealed that migrant apprehensions jumped again to approximately 38,000. CBP officials have not yet released the official March reports.

If the average reported this week by Chief Good holds through the month, the El Paso Sector could see upward of 44,000 migrant apprehensions for April.

The Title 42 coronavirus protection protocol established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2020 is scheduled to come to a close on May 11, Breitbart News reported.

In March 2022, Breitbart Texas’ Randy Clark first reported a Department of Homeland Security report estimating the end of Title 42 could bring as many as 18,000 migrants per day to cross the southwest border.
